I recently got a tetanus shot And I got all the side effects it's suppose to give you,for example, fever ,loss of appetie,redness, and swelling, but it went away the next day except for the redness and swelling and itching.

Give it a couple more days to feel better. Tetanus shots are very irritating shots. My last one took 5 to 6 days before I felt well. You're lucky that many of your side effects went away in one day.

some needles to keep an illness at bay give bad side effects because it works like this: it is a small dose of the infection to build up the immune system so then if you get it the inoculation kicks in and you don't get sick but if you have a bad reaction you may need to go to doctors or hospital for antibiotics as well, and keep up fluids because otherwise if you dehydrate you will have to have a drip in hospital.

Mine itched like crazy too! It lasted for like 3 days. I had a large red bump on my arm and it hurt too! It gets better though and goes away. Just try not to wear something that touches it and put aloe on it.

if this hasn't happened to you when getting a tetanus shot before, then you might want to call the place where you got it done and ask

the itching is natural but it depends on how long if it starts to hurt u may be at risk for staff infection

sounds pretty normal. if it continues for a few more days or worsens, then you should see a dr.
