my grandmother is in the hospital for one and a half weeks, and it takes her decrease in heath for the doctors to wonder if something is wrong with her. If they had looked before she has gootten this bad, we could have saved her? She is now having trouble breathing, because of a blood clot next to her heart, and the doctors won't give the family a straight answer about her condition. They want us to prolong her status on life-support, but She told everyone if she could make if on her on. She didn't want any help. So we are tring to abide her wishes. back to my question. she was put in the hospital because something wasn't right. so the doctors should have been on top of her, right? So if they hadn't had there fingers up their noses they could have prevented this, her death. Beacuse they can't take her off the oxygen beacuse she loses all her breath. We pay doctors to know what we don't. but they can't even save us anymore than a common wives tales. So why???? do we give them $$?

I quit drugs after I got scizopherinia I had whats called phycosis and the drugs triggered my scizopherinia. I went for two years without medication before I was prescribed and it was horrific. I kept hearing voices taunting, laughing at me, mocking me and everything I do none stop. It was like listening to thousands of people with turettes syndrome. I thought it was a big conspiracy of people against me. It was really real I always thought scizophrenics were lying to get attention but I was wrong. Anyway I'm being treated now and ever since I've been taking my medication for about 1 year now and haven't touched illegal drugs for 3 years now. Feels like forever but I'm slowly getting my life back on track. Looking for work every week in the newspapers on the internet and I'm also signed up to job search place which is good and all working well for me. But I can't wait to get back to work. I haven't been drinking much other. Anyway anyone got any stories of their own?

My 9 year old broke her humerus just below her shoulder. It was a clean break, apparently where a cyst was growing in the bone.

The doctor (presumably an expert based on the fact that she was cared for at a children's only hospital) put her in a sling for four weeks, with a follow-up visit at that time with additional x-rays.

Is this semi-common? I always assumed a cast was in order for broken bones. I do know bones will heal themselves, but will it set itself like that?

Interesting. I hope they don't have to "re-break" it if she goes back in a month and it hasn't fused correctly.

Anyone ever had their finger go numb for days after carrying heavy plastic grocery bags? I live on the top floor of a place with no elevator...which means trying to carry as many grocery bags as possible with each trip...However, that was Saturday, and the end of my middle finger is STILL oddly & mildly numb... Anyone ever experienced this? Doctors know anything about it?

My question is if anyone has suggestions for night time knee pain? My knees feel as though they are grinding against each other when I lay in a side sleeping position. I have tried pillows but they sometimes fall out. Laying on my back hurts even more. I have tried several meds but do not get a good night rest very often. I have thought of even trying some type of knee wrap or brace. Anyone have any ideas?

I have been using primatene mist inhaler for my asthma for at least 15 years now. Sometimes when I use the inhaler a few mins. later I will get these sharp pains in my stomache going towards my back right below my rib cage. Also when I am having the pains I fell like i have to go throw up and sometimes do. Also I will start getting hot and start sweating. These pains might last for like 10 mins. and nothing works for the pain I just have to go lay down.

I HAVE BEEN TO THE DR. BUT THEY DON'T KNOW WHAT I AM TALKING ABOUT.

I HAVE ALSO WENT TO THE ER FOR THIS TO AND DID A X-RAY AND EVERYTHING IS CLEAR AND THE DR.'S LOOK AT ME STUPID THINKING THIS IS ALL IN HER HEAD....

HELP DO ANYONE MIGHT KNOW WHAT IS GOING ON???

Right after I eat unch I get a massive head ache, it makes me want to crawl under my desk and sleep. Taking Asprin doesn't help it either. And my cheecks become very flushed, anybody have the same issues? I think maybe its a chemical inbalance or something?

Last year I went to the hospital with pain in my lower right abdomen and had all the symptoms of appendicitis(fever, sesitivity to touch, a touch of nausea ect.) . They never found anything wrong with my appendix on the scans and the pain went away after a few days so I never thought anything else about it. On Saturday, the exact same pain returned. I've had pain in my lower right abdomen that are sharp and really painful coming in waves. I know you guys aren't doctors and I plan on going to the clinic as soon as I can, but has anyone else experienced this or know of any conditions that may seem like appendicitis?

My wife who is 24 has been having headaches for the past three weeks now. Each day they seem to be getting worse. She is slightly sensitive to light and sound, but not enough to where we would diagnose it as a migraine. The past few days she has been getting nauseated but has not thrown up yet. She also has motion sickness which is common with her but lately it has been getting worse. Tylenol and Excedrin Migraine help for a while but it keeps coming back. We would appreciate any ideas as to what she should do.
