It could be tension headaches. If the headaches last more than 15 days a month for several months, they could be chronic tension headaches.
Some causes can be:
* Stress
* Depression and anxiety
* Lack of sleep or changes in sleep routine
* Skipping meals
* Poor posture
* Working in awkward positions or holding one position for a long time
* Lack of physical activity
* Occasionally, hormonal changes related to menstruation, pregnancy, menopause or hormone use
* Medications used for other conditions, such as depression or high blood pressure
* Overuse of headache medication
Stress is the most common. If any of these sound like they could be a cause, try to fix that problem and see if it helps the headaches. In any case I recommend seeing your doctor; I'm no expert, but maybe this website will help, it's where I got this information:
http://www.cnn.com/HEALTH/library/DS/00304.html
It's a long article to read, but it gives very thorough information on causes and symptoms, how to treat or prevent headaches, and important things you can do before you visit the doctor to help them diagnose your wife's head pain:
Get a good description of your pain: "Your doctor can learn a lot about your headaches from your description of the type of pain, including its severity, location, frequency and duration, and other symptoms you may have."
Keep a headache calendar: "One of the most helpful things you can do is keep a headache calendar for at least two months. Each time you get a headache, jot down a description of the pain, including how severe it is, where it's located and how long it lasts. Also note any medications you take. A headache calendar can offer valuable clues that may help your doctor diagnose your particular kind of headache and discover possible headache triggers."
I hope this helps!

Morwena and Leika both have made good suggestions.
Has your wife been drinking enough water? Dehydration causes headaches too, especially when combined with heat. What about eating right? For a while I didn't, and I felt sick and headachy. But that cleared up after I had a bit of pineapple. And started making sure I was in fact eating right.
What about stress? Or carbon monoxide?
After three weeks, I would start getting worried. Hopefully a doctor can help you iron this out.
Good luck!

Not to freak you out, but I started getting headaches everyday for a few months and thought they were migraines until an aneurysm poppped in my brain (which is generally fatal but I was lucky). Don't take a chance, go to the doctor! I was also 24 at the time.

sounds like migraine to me,,,slight symptoms are enough,,,with migraine you dont get all of them to the same severity. i have a-typical migraine and match NONE of the symptoms. i would suggest the dr. there are medications to stop a migraine,,and some to take as a preventative. i have been on preventatives for almost 9 years. if they are really bad take her to an ER. there are many things it could be and a building headache could be just the beginning. for me i try complete dark, block out most sound ( a fan running is all i can handle) cold compresses and medication. try a cup of really strong black coffee, the caffiene might help

We have treated 15 - 20 yrs cases.
There is no medicine for H/A OR MIGRAINE. Not only these but for almost all painful diseases. Hence they become chronic.
Acidity, excessive wind, cold , heat, sour food and sinusitis, constipation, intestinal inflammation;
Blockage in the flow of Vital Energy are their causes. None of them can be treated with medicine. Our 100% success in treating migraine &H/A confirms it.
Acupuncture is the best treatment. I can treat it with naturopathy and YOG, but how can you manage pl see.
Avoid late sleeping if possible;spicy, sour, stale bakery foods and alcohole.
Sweet foods, sweet fruits, milk, rice and good sleep will help you.
But you try one herbal remedy- two drops of drumstick leaves' juice in opposite nostril if one side pains and both nostrils if full H/A will give you rescue. Betel leaf helps but it isvery strong.

Yes, and also, grinding your teeth might be a sign of TMJ, tubular musculer jointal disorder I think is what it is, and you might need a guard to wear on your teeth at night. But yea, the nerve endings in your teeth are probably sending pain impulses to your head, and causing that, it did for my mum anyway. Hope it gets better for you!

I'd get her an MRI. It's a scan of the brain. It sounds pretty serious, so you should take her to the doctor.
