I am a college student with little money but I have a pinched nerve in my shoulder blade that is driving me crazy. Do they have any student discounts?

im a chiropractor assisant. we give a ballpark of the first visit to be anywheres from 150 to 200 dollars. that includes an exam and xrays. if you have recently taken xrays, ask the doc if you can bring those in to save some money. an adjustment, or spinal manipulation (each office visit) can run you anywheres from 50-100 dollars. insurance is tricky. if you have it, coverage varies. most chiropractors work on a sliding scale, making chiropractic care affordable for everyone. good luck! its very important health care that many dont take into consideration.

I'm sure different offices have different price ranges. The chiropractic offices around here normally have a free consultation to discuss exactly what is bothering you. At that point it would be easier to decide the fee. I would call to make a consultation appointment so that you have a better idea of what the treatment and cost would be. Good Luck and hope that helps a bit!

The costs vary from state to state. If you have insurance you might be surprised the insurance will cover the cost minus a co-pay of about $30. When you call to make an appointment they can tell you the exact cost of the the doctor's time, etc.

The average cost in my area (close to Dallas, Texas) is $45.00 for the initial office visit and $35.00 for each visit thereafter. They really do help a lot of people.
