You might have broken it, or tore a tendon or ligament, or maybe just sprained it. You need to have it x-rayed to make sure it isn't broken. Never wait for an injury like that, and don't use a joint that is hurting. You should be using the crutches and the brace will stabilize the joint and take some of the pressure off of it, but if it's broken, it needs to be set otherwise you could end up crippled for life.

I could leisure your ankle via doing low influence sports like biking. You can nonetheless ice the field to shrink swelling and infection. Anti-inflammatory over-the-counter medicines too can shrink the infection. Try ibuprofen (when you do not need an hypersensitive reaction to NSAID-Non steroidal anti-inflammatory drug). You can take that each and every 4 hours and it's going to construct to your method so you'll be able to stroll for the period of the day. You will have to additionally follow a bandage for compression across the ankle for elevated splint-like help. They may also be bought at a drug retailer, only for ankles and a few for knees. I could see a Doctor as quickly as you'll be able to in order that an X-ray or test may also be played to make sure you wouldn't have a strain fracture or a sprain.

I badly sprained my ankle about 3 weeks ago. I was in a hurry going down the stairs, lost my balance and landed on a bad side of my left foot, causing my left ankle to be stretched going on the inside. The first 48 hours were excruciating and the pain was un-believable. I've never had a serious ankle injury before.
So I immediately treated it using the RICE method. The following day, the bruising and swelling were so horrible. I found out that I got a second degree sprain and immediately panicked after that. I had a football game on that week and it been looking forward to it because I've been training for rt. I had teammates that had similar injuries and it took them months to fully recover, some of them stopped playing altogether. So I kinda had a short-term depression because I can't imagine myself not being able to run and play sports anymore.
Because I was so desperate to recover again, I contacted a lot of people that I know who do sports and asked them if they had similar injuries. One friend of mine, from the boy's football team in my university, told me about H.E.M. Ankle Rehab. I got a copy 4 days after I got injured. I immediately read and followed what was instructed and felt improvement on the first day. I was able to walk a bit, but I was in pain.
A couple of days after that, the swelling and bruising were subsid-ing significantly and on the fourth day, I was walking comfortably again. Although I've had felt a bit of stiffness, I continued doing what was instructed. My sister was surprised that I have recovered this fast. I told her about this book and was shocked on how effective the procedures were. I'm just so happy that this book was shared to me and how effective it is.
Heal your ankle fully & fast?

OK you have really injured yourself and need to tell you mother/father what happened. If something hurts that long, and continues to swell, you could have done many things from strain, to joint dislocatin, to breaking a bone. Only a doctor can tell you what is wrong. So, talk to your parent or your PE teacher.

You need to see an Orthopaedic Doctor/Surgeon. Don't wait any longer. Your best bet might be to go to the emergency room for an Xray as a start.

Ice is magic! Stick it into a bucket of ice, or ice water, and hold it there for a few minutes.
