I have kind of bad allergies, and the doctor has seen my throat before but I don't know if he is any good because he usually doesn't look at my throat when I see him for allergies. I have had the bumps for years. They are not small, and they are red...I don't know if it's my allergies, if its normal, or if its time for a new doc. Thanks. I am not looking for a diagnosis, just is this normal? It is a tad bit sore, but this has been happening for years and dr. never said anything.

I have almost a full bottle of pill-form Amoxicillin 500mg that I received in November of 2004. Now, it's the weekend, and to try and fend off a possible infection, I want to start taking some antibiotics.

Can I take these pills, or do you think they've expired? There's no expiration date anywhere on the bottle, but I don't want to be risky. Any help is greatly appreciated!

For several days now I've had pain in my wrist--it's sort of a sharp ache that comes and goes, without any particular movement involved. I don't remember twisting or falling on it recently, but I do play piano, play tennis, and spend time at the computer. From what I've read though, it's not carpal tunnel--the pain doesn't radiate, there's no tingling in my fingers, etc. Right now I have my wrist immobilized with an ace bandage, which helps the pain, but does anyone have any idea what it could be? If it helps I'm an 18-year-old female.

It's fairly minor, it does not require surgery, but it is painful to lift the arm and it pops when I reach around my back from the torso to my neck. The trainer at my school tells me it's a Rotator Cuff Sprain. I'm looking for info on how long it will take me to recover, I have a scrimmage exactly 1 week from now. I've rested it for 1 full day so far and have iced it several times. Thanks for any help and info you can give me!

I was wondering about some good ideas for an end of the work week shut down. I had a terrible week and I decided to do nothing as a start to my weekend. Feel free to tell me how or what you do when you feel like doing nothing.

Shes started this new fascination with sticking her finger up her nose. (I was teaching her where and what her nose was, and she figured out it has holes in it, and her fingers fit in perfectly...) If she sticks it up too far can she damage something in her nose? And when shes eating, and theres food on her fingers, can she get an infection or something?

"Diseases" But I took a chance on "general" Ok the question is: Are there any symptoms of high blood presure? My daughter has scarring on her kindeys from an infec years ago. The Dr told us that the worst that would happen is she might get high blood pressure from it. And latley her BP has been kinda high. Not outrageously high, but enough to worry about. And she won't believe me so she wants me to ask. If anyone knows of any sypmtoms: cough, headache, shortess of breath.. anything I haven't mentioned..
She has blood work tomorrow morn but is worried about it tonight and told me to ask.
Does anyone know?

Does anyone have this? When I lay down at night just as I am falling asleep, I get this bang in my head. It's like an explosion. When I sleep on the sofa it does'nt happen and I thought it was because my head was higher, so I bought a huge pillow and tried that, but it did'nt work. Now it seems that if I sleep on the sofa with the TV it does'nt happen. Serious answers only please.

I have never been in a surgery before, but I am scheduled for a minor surgery on my right hand next month. My doctor warned me that there could be some potentially fatal risks for using general anesthesia which he says is very rare. My mom is a nurse and says she would prefer local anesthesia because she thinks it's safer. I am 18 years old and I am a little uneasy about all of this. Anyone here had a surgery with anesthesia? How does it feel when the anesthesia is taking effect? Were there any after effects? Lastly, would you prefer local or general anesthesia for a hand operation?
Thanks for your input
