I was afraid of spiders until my friend Eddie explained how big I looked to them and that all they were trying to do was run as fast as they could away from me so they could stay alive. My friend Thom is terrified of needles, so I went with him to the clinic when he got his flu shot. I told him to make eye contact with me while the nurse was injecting him. We held eye contact while the whole thing went down and the nurse had to actually tell Thom it was already over with and all he did was let out this gigantic laugh. He was laughing all the way back to his car outside. I asked him about it. He said maybe one more visit and he would be okay with needles forever. Moral to the story? Find someone who is absolutely and totally unafraid of needles, like me. Another one is dentists and another one is getting your driver's license, and another one is elevators and another one is flying in an airplane and another one is being out in open places and the list continues. Please remember this: you may not feel very strong right this minute while you are reading this, but you may get a brief moment in your life when you can actually think about trying to face the needle thing. Do not try to face it alone. Find that absolutely fearless (when it comes to needles) person and make sure he/she comes along with you. Make and keep eye contact and even hold hands if it will help you, all the way through the event. In about two visits or occasions, you will feel a new you emerging, and do you know why? Because you got through it. You may not have liked it, but you got through it. Each time you do it, it actually gets easier. (It's called "flooding' out the fear.) The needle item will probably take you no more than three sessions. I do not quite understand what it is, but all of a sudden, something inside you will click "off" like a light switch, and from then on, whatever it was is no longer an issue for you. Do you know what is really great about that - ? You then are in a position to help someone else who is terrified of needles! Sent to you with good energies and a lot of respect for your concerns and the faith you will be brave and slowly find your way completely through it and out the other side, I am Chris in South Portland, Maine, U.S.A. (I am 63 years old, so I have had plenty of practice in overcoming any concern I have of needles by now.)

You are not alone in that kind of fear. It's the same thing for people who are afraid of dentists. You can speak with your doctor/s when you go and ask them what is the best way. If you feel the problem is interfering too much with life then you might want to go speak with a psychologist because they deal with behavior. You can learn to cope and get past this with the right help. Just don't be afraid to tell medical professionals when you have to see them. They do understand and will do what they can to help you.

Understand that it is for your health
I was afraid of needles (not peircing ones just ones at the doctors office)
but I finally had to get one for a health screening to become a medical assistant and I felt embarrased because I must have forgotten that IT DOES NOT HURT

Some people are also scared of the bubbles in the injection
If you see bubbles act the person to try to remove more of them and also understand that more than half of the injection would have to be air for it to do any harm to you

There are some ingredient which you will ought to have achieved that is composed of needles. for the duration of the commencing up of your being pregnant they're going to draw blood to attempt for all kinds of issues which could influence the toddler besides as STDs. additionally around 20ish weeks they're going to make you drink this orange goop and then will draw your blood to attempt your blood sugar. additionally they do yet another blood draw around 15-20 weeks to attempt for down syndrome and a pair different defects, yet because those exams have a ot of fake positives some human beings opt to no longer get them achieved. Now for the hard artwork section, an excellent sort of human beings enable you to be conscious of which you will no longer care and which you'll be screaming for an epidural. nicely those human beings do no longer in all probability have a real needle phobia lol I even have had 3 young babies and went drug unfastened simply by entire "needle ingredient". I basically had a new child 4 weeks in the past and had to get pitocin because of the fact my water broke and that i did no longer circulate into hard artwork (that meant i had to get an IV too........meaning stabbing me with a needle *cries*....) and in spite of the undeniable fact that the hard artwork with the pitocin made the hard artwork a minimum of two times as painful as my different 2, i nonetheless replaced into waiting to get with the aid of it without the epidural. yet as each and every physique else will additionally say it somewhat is all nicely worth it, and that's the certainty :)
