I was wondering about some good ideas for an end of the work week shut down. I had a terrible week and I decided to do nothing as a start to my weekend. Feel free to tell me how or what you do when you feel like doing nothing.

Think of some pleasant moments of your past and enjoy its good feelings. Take a deep breath, hold for a few seconds and then exhale very slowly. Do this rythmatically for about 5 minutes. Go in to the open and look at sky or some far off place e g horizon.

Ah, whenever I have a bad week and need to shut down I come home and play mind numbing video games. The mindless violence seems to cleanse my bad week away and free my mind from its work state. Then I can disconnect and move on to weekend status. Good luck. Hope you have a good weekend and that next week is better.

A warm bath with soothing music, maybe you could get a massage, either by a professional or a friend. Hot stone therapy is also very relaxing. Reading a great novel........to me, warmth, water, and music equal relaxation. Hope you enjoy your weekend!

Watch something different on TV than you normally watch. Try the Disney, History, Learning, Channels. Stay away from intense stuff.

Put on soft music

draw a warm bath and
voila!

Go get a massage! That's the best way I've found to let the week's stress melt away.

Working out. Whether its resistance training, cardio, a cool swim or just sitting in the hot tub - it all makes me feel great!
