It could be low blood sugar. Avoid anything sweet in the evening and have a high-protein snack - a glass of milk is good - shortly before you go to bed. Alcohol in the evening can also cause you to wake up after a little while. This may or may not work, but it won't hurt you any to avoid sweets and alcohol and have a protein snack, and if it works, your problem is solved.

That is what has happened to me. I think it's because you don't get enough sleep or your tires or stressing too much so why not have a day to your self and do what ever and also go with the flow. The recommended hours of sleep is 8 hours so try to have that much or if you can't make it, try and get a little more sleep the next night.

I do the same except I go back to sleep very soon. Sometimes when it is too hot and humid it takes longer time. In your case, maybe you don't need much sleep. Or it is that you are a natural nightowl and sleep too early make you wake up because it is not your natural time to sleep. I suggest you to read a book about chronobiology.

Try to lower your caffeine intake. Also, you can try melatonin which you can get over the counter. It's a sleep aid that will help you fall asleep & should help you stay asleep.

I have that problem if I drink Mt. Dew anytime during the day.
It also could be a a hyperthyroid condition, or many other things. Try sleeping with earplugs. It helps me stay asleep.
Stress?

What took place on your coat?!?" My little 4 or 5 12 months previous brother drew on the back of my coat with a pen whilst i replaced into sound asleep! Ha ha. good instances, good instances.
