General Health Care - July 2006

I have just poured scalding graving over the tips of my fingers and under my nails.I ran them under cold water but they have blistered and r really stiff.no burn cream here at my work.any suggestions

My wife woke up with knee pain especially around the knee cap, with nearly immediate swelling, with no previous injury. It will not bend. She says even touching the skin makes it hurt. She was taken to the local hospitol and they could not find out what is wrong with it (the docs here suck) She has an appointment on monday with our regular doctor, but we are curious what it could be. Thank you for any help you can provide.

i had an infection in my tooth started taken antibiotics then my jaw went down to normal and my tooth is not hurting but now on the same side my neck and all of my arm{left} is hurting real bad it almost seems like a pinched nerve??

Alright, in the past month or month and two weeks, I have had a problem. My eye gets red and puffy, swollen sometimes, but even when it's not (only one eye does this) I find some yellowish-white stuff that looks like something sticky come out of the top lid of my eye, and I get it out. It's strange, but would it be infection, or could it be allergies? Or perhapes something else?

i have five kids and we are extremely clean but one of my kids keeps getting this. its horrible! is there anything i can do to prevent this? they bathe daily, they dont share brushes, bedding, or anything. why would one of my kids get it and not the rest of us?

I really hate sleep! I hate the fact that I have to wast 8 hours of my day unconscious...anyone know anyway I can cut down on my sleep without adverse side effects? Can you train yourself to live on less sleep? I used to get by on less when I was on call at nights, but now I'm on shift I'm knackered again!!

My wife's leg is broken in 4 places, just above the ankle and her doctor says that she can not take asprin/advil for pain that she is having for her broken rib. She fell from a laddar, and broke leg, and a rib.

do you feel that doctors spread out their diagnosis of a your problem over several visits. The more visits the more co-pays and the more money they collect from you and the insurance companies. It feels like they want in and out very quickly . Does anybody else feel that way too, let me know.
