Alright, in the past month or month and two weeks, I have had a problem. My eye gets red and puffy, swollen sometimes, but even when it's not (only one eye does this) I find some yellowish-white stuff that looks like something sticky come out of the top lid of my eye, and I get it out. It's strange, but would it be infection, or could it be allergies? Or perhapes something else?

Nvm. I just found out by searching it's bacterial pink eye? Is there a treatment for it? Without a prescription.

If it happens occasionally, it is probably allergic conjunctivitis rather than bacterial. I would see your ophthalmologist when you are having the problem and they can determine the cause.
Good luck

The problem with all these "bacterial conjunctivitis" diagnosis is that it does not usually limit itself to one eye. Since it is highly contagious it easily spreads to the fellow eye.
Are you a contact lens wearer?
The yellowish-white stuff follows the symptoms of an infection. With an allergy you would normally also have an itch accompanying your other symptoms.
Go see your optometrist and good luck!

I have the similar problem but it was cause by allergies but in your case I cannot answer because you mention yellowish stuff which I would guess an infection but I could be wrong. See your doctor, the probably will give you antibiotics and or something to keep your eyes from drying.

My brother had something like that happen. First, his eye got swollen, then puss oozed out, then his face started swelling up. Started to look like The Elephant Man. He went to the Dr. and he gave him a shot. His was an allergic reaction. But they never figured it out. Try taking some benaldryl (is that spelled right?) and see if it clears up some. If it does, then it was an allergy, if it doesn't, go to the Dr. you should go anyway, that way maybe you'll find out what your allergic to. And then of course there is always the risk of it being something else.......but hopefully it is just an allergy.

There are many eye diseases that the symptoms sound like and nobody on this web site can diagnose you. Sounds like you will definitely need antibiotics. Run, don't walk to your doctor! An eye infection can cause a secondary infection which can affect other body systems which is something you don't want to happen. Call your doc as soon as they are open and tell them the symptoms.

It is probably an infection..
Does it happen after you wake up or at any time of day? If it happens after you wake up only, it may not be anything to worry about.
But if you find there is: pain, discharge of any sort, getting red, swollen, contact your ophthalmologist immediately.
Did it start happening after any injury?
These are som of the qs your doc will probably need answers to...
take care

Could be alot of things. But it does sound like you may have a bit of conjuntivitis (either viral or bacterial). My girlfriend had it a couple of years ago and passed it on to me. It's a snap to get rid of though, with Erythromycin gel (need to get a prescrition for it).

Do you wear contacts? Leave them out for a while if you do.

Maybe its pink eye. You should try going to the doctor or eye doctor. If your eye is crusty in the morning after you wake up, then it's probably pink eye, but it doesn't make sense on why you have had it this long. I hope my information was useful. good Luck!!
