Maybe the one kid that keeps getting lice hangs out with other kids that have lice. Next time you see his/her friends, do a quick check on their heads:)

He got it by a friend or classmate. OTC products works fine. Replace his comb and brush, and clean bed linens. You have to wash, inspect and clean troughly his hair, removing lice eggs left in the hair. Is not easy, but you will see the results in a week. The rest of the family shall use the shampoo also (prevention).

Cleanliness is certainly a part of preventing the spread in your house. It is tiring to pull all of the sheets and bedding off and wash everything.
The lice you have - are they resistant to NIX?
From what I know, I would suspect that the one child IS sharing things with someone who has not been treated effectively. All the stuff that you wash at your house is the stuff that can infect your child somewhere else
-hats
-kippot/yamaka/turbans
-scarves
-bedding
-combs/brushes
-shirts/blouses

Keep an eye for where your child goes and what he is doing. That will make the difference in getting this dealt with.

Its probably the one child has friends who are carrying lice and thats how he/she keep getting them.

Or, if that child has longer lighter hair its easier for lice to latch on and live.

Of three siblings my littlest brother is the only blond, and he's the only one who gets or has ever gotten lice.

Try cutting thier hair short, if its a girl, atleast above the shoulders, if its a boy go ahead and buzz it. even girls can have short hair these days without it being a problem.

Probably that kid IS sharing a brush or something and not telling you about it.
