actually yes, without tubes etc. buddhists can medidate for months without eating, there was a documentary on discovery chanel last week about it. look it up..15year old boy went without food for 10months.

The only reason I can think of why it could be bad is that your saliva has a function of modifying starchy foods into some more digestible form. If you want to lose weight of if you are an anorexic this is a dangerous question. You are an organism that needs a balanced intake of nutrients to be at your best. Little food is not good.

The Northern ireland hunger strikers in the eighties lived for about 60 days without eating. But they knew exactly what they were doing. They stayed in bed. They took fluids and I think glucose. But I do not recommend it as way to get slim.

You can by using a tube fed through your nose, down into your stomach, the food is passed through the tube into your stomach but it can only be done in a hospital and it costs around £200 a day for the right food to keep you alive.
This is the only option otherwise death is a certainty

That depends on how you define "eating". TPN is one way to get there, but it is not an easy thing to do and it costs somewhat as well.
