My hair has been gradually thining for the past 5 years now and is getting really bad. After a skin biopsy test last year my doctor finall confirmed to me today that there is nothing majorly wrong and that its a really common condition (hair loss).

So now instead of refering me to another specialists he has giving me a scalp lotion to try.

...Sounds good but when i read what it was for, it seems as though its not for people suffering hair loss but far worse skin scalp conditions like, eczema, dermatitis (itching), psoriasis of the scalp...all of which i don't have!

its also used for seborrhoea capitis (a condition causing redness and inflamation of the scalp and crusty patches of the scalp.

It all seems rather scary to me as all the above symptons are not related to me! also the side effects are bad too!!!

Please help!!! should I listen to my doctor and use it???

Is skin cancer is only caused by being OVEREXPOSED to the UV rays? For instance, you won't get skin cancer as long as you moderate your exposure to the sun...for example: if I go to a tanning salon only once a month, then I'm not at risk.

I have these red scaly bumps and rash on my elbows and then noticed it on my knuckles. Now I find 3 more bumps on the side of my right wrist. This has gotten much worse in the past 3 days, seems like its spreading. I only really noticed the problem over a week ago. It itches like hell. what does this sound like? Does it spread? because it seems its spreading on my body. This really sucks.

I got the sunburn on the 14th and it is now the 16th. I'm also supposed to be going out with friends the 25th and 26th and we'll be outside all of both days. One of those days being out most of the day at the beach. I understand I need to put LOTS of lotion on but I want to know when my sunburn and blisters and the pain will be fully gone.?!

I read in another post that natural oil is supposed to really help blemishes. They say to rub oil on face and massage it. How long do you message for, and how long do you wait b4 washing your face again? and this won't clog your pores and make even more pimples?

I was on a cliff by the sea before sunset and suddenly got stunk/bitten by some insect, but I don't know what it was.
It burnt so much right away after that and then it swelled for like two hours and then it started to look normal again.
It's been four days but it still feels itchy.

What kind of insect was it?
Is there something I can do to feel better?

My boyfriend works outside all day here in Nevada and it is really hot and he sweats between his butt cheeks and gets a really bad rash or sore all along his crack. (Sorry for the detail) I am just looking to find something to help him so he doesn't have to be in such pain. Please no rude comments. Thanks everyone!

Now i notice that my skin is extremely dry. Also, most of the pimples have dried up but it has left really dark spots. I try not to touch them but are these spots gonna leave permanent scars? I use Dove soap for sensitive skin. Is thee smth even more gentle taht i can use fr my skin? Also, I use Aveeno sunscreen, since ther derm told me Novominocyclone makes my skin sensitive to sun, is this too harsh for my skin?
Also, plz give me products that can make my acne scars fade away??
Also, i have been using Novominocyclone and differin for 2 weeks.

I'm so embarrassed by the acne on my back. Is there a product that anyone can recommend that either I can apply myself or have someone else apply it that will clear it up rather quickly?

I've noticed that whenever i am outside, I seem to be ravaged by mosquitos -- even when I wear bug repellent. if I happen to forget the bug repellent, any exposed skin becomes covered (literally -- COVERED) in bites.

however, i've noticed that many other people (who don't wear any bug repellent, and have plenty of exposed skin) get little to no bug bites at all. what makes a person appetizing to these itchy little vermin? is there a scent or hormone mosquitos somehow detect on certain people? why me?!

I'm a 16 year old girl, normal health wise and stuff but I've had bad black heads on my nose. It drives me nuts because I don't wear makeup or use pore-clogging lotions/moisturizers/sunblock and stuff and I wash my face everyday with a gentle facial cleanser (neutrogena) and use oil free neutrogena face moisturizer/SPF15.

I have tried almost everything to get rid of these stupid blackheads that make me very self-conscious to be close to people because I know they are visible (I notice them on people who have them too, and envy the ones who don't). I have tried pore strips, exfoliating face washes and scrubs, more chemically face wash (with sacrylic acids and stuff which just irritates my skin more), but nothing helps. I squeeze them sometimes and that helps some of them for a few days but not far and not that great.I am not an oily person and I eat a healthy diet, take a vitamin every day. What can I do?? Including dermatologist help??

also, when i am sleeping the inside of my mouth gets so dry it wakes me up and i have to get a drink. in the morning it is the same, i can barely speak and it almost hurts to open it.i have never experienced these symptoms associated with a cold before. i'm still not over my cold and am going to the doctor tomorrow. a friend of mine and i were just discussing this on the phone and he said he has been experiencing the same dry mouth at nite since his cold a few months ago. is this something new in the viral world? i'll see what the doctor says, i wish i had gone sooner because this is really getting old.
