Normally when I can't sleep, I take a warm bath before bed, (Not to wash, but to relax) and then when I get up I put on warm pajamas. Then I put in a chick flick movie (Nothing too action packed) and I make myself a cup of tea. Also, during the movie I like to snuggle up in a warm blanket. Warmth makes me sleepy.

i wish i could help,i have them too.if they are severe enough a psy.is a good start,they arent for crazy people. over the counter meds make it worse,habit forming,also,we have to train the body to sleep again,even if its only 10 more minutes a night,i try to keep up with mine,i get so tired in evening i drop off working,some people swear by reading,i get caught up in book,have to read to end,use articles,relaxing warm bathes,light a candle or two,dim lights,use a smell light in water,that u like,try to relax there,so many things are trial and not work.if its too bad,interferes with life,do use a dr,they are alot of meds,that are not habit forming,no hang over,but they are presciption,also,are u under alot of stress,it causes severe insomnia,work,money,kids,teens,car broken,spouse,parents,list to long,do a LIFE CHECK,u could find answer there.ONE OTHER THING,watch foods before bed,soda,chocolate,spices,even a relaxing drink,alcohol wakes u up,after a very short nap.caffine,try avoiding these,and big meals,they make tummy mad,then more for mind to deal with,we have enough,just being tired,and cant find why,thanks
