Skin Conditions - August 2007

I've got it on my feet and someone told me to rub them with banana skin. Has anyone heard of this and if so, does it work. I use creams etc on them but skin still dries out and cracks.

it wont go away and i know for a fact its poison ivy because i get it every year. Put calamine lotion on the spots i had it and some of the spots went away but theres spots that are not going away and now are starting to puss. Do'es anyone have any suggestions on how to make it go away besides calamine lotion and oatmeal bathes???

i have been takin it for 2 weeks but i use to be taking differn and before that tazorac but not anymore and i really dont eat junk food at all and all organinc foods and only drink water i am on the football team so i am active i am 14 i also eat fruit alot and salad too how long would u estimate the accutane would take to clear my face (i have gone to a dermatolgist since 2/12/2007) please help im not the same person since acne and i am tourting myself by not eating foods i enjoy and please dont tell me to eat what i want or forget about acne cause i cant

I used 2 cut myself on my legs ( not anymore) the last tym i did it was in may and cut pretty deep. the wounds have healed but i still have red marks on my legs, i really want 2 get rid of them, ive tried puttin make up on them etc but dont really want 2 do tht now tht the summer is here. i totally regret doing it, i have sorted out my life but can anyone please tell me if they know anything 2 encourage the healing process.

My 14-year-old daughter just came home and said that her friend was just sent home from a hairdresser with "lice," although she thinks only nits were found. I checked her and found, after a while, some little white things that could be nits. Not a lot, though, and not clustered. They could also be dandruff or product (she uses a fair amount). I kept looking with a flashlight, and look though I did for some time, never found even one louse-looking thing. Her scalp looks pretty healthy too. She had one instance that we thought was lice about 10 years ago, but again, never found a bug, although her older brother did have some, and we deloused accordingly (he's long gone, and we don't live there anymore).

Any advice? We're really very hygienic, daily washing of bodies and clothing, weekly sheet changing and all that.

Recently I recieved a fairly severe sunburn. I am very fair with freckles. The burn was definate 2nd degree. Past red, it was purple and completely blistered. The tops of my back and shoulders recieved the worst level of burn. Now that the skin has healed I have had severe pain like raw nerve endings. It's a itchy, burning, shooting, intense pain. I haven't slept much for a week because it seems to be getting worse.

I have tried nearly everything in my house. The later it is in the evening, it seems to get worse. Also any stimulation makes it worse. The worst part is it gets so itchy and the more I itch it, the more unbearably itchy it gets.

Does anyone have any suggestions to soothe the pain and itching? Also, does anyone know about how long this irritation might last?

I've had this group of cystic pimples on both cheeks for about a YEAR,it completely sucks.And they get bigger instead of smaller.Ive tried all kinds of over the counter creams,antibiotics from the dermatologist,and several home remedies and I'm now on accutane and it still hasnt improved these pimples.I'll be starting school soon and theres no way I'm goin with these on my face.PLEASE HELP

sooooo i been out all day and i have caught quite a lot of sun,my skin is really fair and fleckled so i burn dead easily.
i have just put some after sun on but the sting is still there and even though my arm is red hot i feel cold and havre goose pimples is there anything i can do or put on it to take the sting out of my skin ?

i have a baby boy about 18 months old and he has mild eczema spots all over his body. the doctor prescribed hydrocortizone and it helps but you can still see the discoloration in his skin specially when he tans on his arms and legs. what can i do to stop it or will he just grow out of it?

I recently started using this brush on liquid that is supposed to dry the skin around the wart to make it fal off. It is called Compund W. Does anyone know how long it takes for the wart to go away.... or an easier, faster, or less painful way to get rid of it?? PLease Help

i was in a gym where the presence of mrsa was very likely and ive always had acne problems my i recently got a boil on my arm which didnt drain on its own and is healing seemingly well what is the possibility of this being mrsa? it wasnt painful and wasnt leaking like most mrsa does and was relatively small compared to mrsa

I've had really embarrassing acne for several years. I am 17 years old. I've tried everything from Proactiv, Murad acne complex, to meds my family doctor, and dermatologist had given me. Right now i am on 2 creams my derm has prescribed they are Benza Clin and Tretinoin cream.She told me that if i didnt see results in 2 weeks that is wasnt going to work at all for me.She mentioned Accutane as something to try after this, but said i'd have to go on birth control. I told her i wasnt having sex, so i could get pregnant. She said i would have to anyway. If i get accutane, and have to go on Birth control, what do you have to do to get BC? I live with my dad, and i am the only girl, where would i have to go for it, an obgyn? that would be humiliating because I LIVE WITH MY DAD, is this something i could get on my own w/o dad? So anyways, i am thinking of calling my derm to see if she give accutane, i need a quick fix, b/c i have acting offers in L.A. and dont need this acne problem. thanks.
