now i have a big red area from where the scab was

will it heal over time? how long?
how could i lighten the redness?

any help is very much appeciated

use an exfoliater! it will disappear over time....i'm not sure how long,but it will gradually fade.

Leave it alone! You have opened a sore and it needs to heal. It may be infected so it may be worth a trip to the docs if it does not clear up. I am the same when I get spots but mine have never got infected. Try putting a bit of TCP on it or other antiseptic and wear a paper bag til it has disapeared, only joking but if it does not clear get a profesional opion. Good luck x And I would not recommend putting make upover it as make up generally contains lots of germs (yack) and that may make it worse x

Use cotton balls and dab the area with Hydrogen Peroxide. Then apply Neosporin to the area to promote healing. Quit picking at the site. You should see results in 3 to 5 days.

It will heal over time, like after a few weeks. Use foundation makeup (the liquid kind) and it'll cover it, so people will barely notice it.

Ugh. No thank you I think I will pass, and your face will heal more slowly if you pick off the scabs... Ugh. I'm going to PUKE.

Neosporin and cocoa butter are the best, anything with vitamin E and aloe vera works well too. use makeup

the same thing hapened to me there isn't much you can do......you can put visine on it to reduce the redness that works for me and when your just at home and not doing anythign putneosporne on it to help it heal faster.....good luck
