If you are referring to an occasional blemish, wash your face well, cover the blemish with honey and a bandaid. In the morning, remove the bandaid, wash your face and, in most instances, the blemish will be gone! This is a trick that models use.
If you have generalized acne, your best bet would be to see a dermatologist. You can buy oodles of products over the counter (pro-active, clean and clear, clearasil, etc.) but it would be trial and error. What works for those on here, won't necessarily work for you. This is because everyone is different and so is their skin. You would have more success and probably spend a lot less money by consulting with a dermatologist.
