Okay... maybe this is a silly question and a lame observation... but I remember when I was younger (around 15, I guess), I would notice overweight, older women would have ghastly moles across their neck and shoulders. I always told myself that if I ever got moles like that, I'd do something about it. As luck would have it, I'm now 22 years old, overweight, and tiny moles are appearing on my shoulders (I have on on my neck -- but I've had that one all my life). Does being overweight have anything to do with getting moles? One website I read said that there's no big concern about getting "new" moles, unless you're over 30. Another site warned of melanoma. But I'm wondering if there's any connection between being overweight (and the hormone imbalance that excessive fat can cause) and getting moles. Thanks, all!
