Benzoyl peroxide is an anti-bacterial that helps to kill the bacteria that causes pimples. Salcylic acid is an acid that increases cell turnover by sloughing off dead skin cells that clog the pores that cause pimples. The two work very well together. If you find that your skin gets too dry then use one product in the morning and one in the evening. Happy New Year.
