This white deposition only appears after the apples have been dried post washing. Are these apples safe to eat with their skin ?

Probably wax. You have to use a special fruit/vegie wash to get wax off.

HEY ALOKE,
the white deposition you see on your apples is a type of wax........
actually it is sprayed on most fruits and vegetables. there is a product on the market by the name of "FIT" sold on the QVC network that totally removes that wax with 1 or 2 sprays...it is amazing, the difference it makes in the appearance of what you are spraying. the most noticible transformation is when you spray the broccoli and of course the apples....and it makes the food tastier, too. i think everyone should buy this product because of the taste you get after using it. trust me on this one==it makes a really big difference........good luck, and i hope that you like it as much as i do as it allows the body to absorb the vitamins and minerals that are in the food you eat......good luck and God bless...oh, and happy new year !!!! luv, sweetness
