Skin Conditions - December 2006

My left arm has broken out in welts and bumps that itch so bad that I want to scream...I have tried everything to quiet the itching...The doctor says it is caused by "stress"...I have been up all night scratching it until it bleeds...I have used "cortizone cream, "calamine lotion" and "Lanacaine"...I even tried scrubbing it with soap and water....My arm is now covered with welts and won't quit itching....Please help!...I think it is a drug related reaction, but my doctor doesn't think so...

My dad has had psoriasis for almost two years now and he has tried one cream (not sure of name) and that didn't work. He wont go to the doctor about it and it's getting really bad. He has it on his scalp, back and a little on his right arm.
My mum and family members have asked him to go and get it checked out but I think he may be embarressed to get someone to look at it.

Does anybody (living in Australia or know of products available in Melbourne, Victoria) that he can use?
Can my brother or I get psoriasis? My nan has bits of it on her arms and back but no where near as bad as dad.
What are the known causes of psorasis?
How can I prevent getting it?

My new bracelet is giving me a rash & that is 9ct white gold. I had a ring from the states which was 14ct white gold & that gave me a rash. I have never had reactions to jewellry or metal before (mind you never had white gold before til recently)....strangely my wedding ring which is 9ct white gold is okay....
I'm wondering if I was to wear 18ct white gold would possibly be any better?

actually i have got black spots on my lips for 2 years I have tried so many things to get rid of it but i failed so please tell me what should I do what medicine or paste can help me out . I gained a bit of weight during the summer. Red stetch marks appeared on my tummy, at first they were hardly noticeable but then they got thicker and more reddish. I use vitamin E and palmer's cocoa butter everyday on my tummy. Somedays my stretchmarks look almost white, but others they look very red. Should I drink more water?, eat less?, this is driving me crazy.

I have a face full of pimples, zits, blackheads, and much more. I need to find a acne cleanser, that can get rid of most of my acne in about a week. I want as clear a face as I can in time for my sisters wedding in a week, as I am the bridesmaid. So I recently went to the dermo for my acne..she perscribed this regimen: natural skin(2% SAL and GLY acids) with differin in the morning and at night natural skin with duac at night plus an antibiotic. So I have done this regimen for a week and my skin is red as can be and it is very dry. I was wondering if this will clear up my acne complety because I really want to get rid of it and will it make my pore smaller because right know everything is the same..no change. ALSO DOES ANYONE KNOW ANY REALLY MOISTURIZING MOISTURIZERS

When you get a blister, the skin that is left over from it (the skin that was ripped off) do you pull it off or is it supose to come off by itself? Also, when you do get a popped blister what do you do cuz mine hurts like crap!?

I went kayaking this past summer and I didnt wear sunscreen on my legs, I am very pale and needless to say I was very sunburned. I had to take three advil just to sleep for the next few days. There are still blotches on my legs where the pigment is a little darker and ever since then, my legs itch constantly. I also got little itchy bumps on my calves. Could this be related to the burn?

I have been told i have lupus and sjogren's syndrome. I have a dark tan and now I have white spots where the lupus has killed my skin pigments, I guess. I been to alot of doctors but nothing done to the skin as of yet. It is hard going out people stare at ya all the time. Just wish it would go away. I take a pill called Hydroxychlor the doctor said it MITE make the skin better. Well Mite is not what i'm looking for. Wondering if anyone has a idea to help me...??

I have a cut on the back of my ankle, I had forgotten to clean it except for 2 days after it happened... its not very deep but it has a rose colored ring around it... and close to the cut it gets to a pretty dark red... does this mean its infected?

I have a 1/2 inch hair completely embedded inside the front part of the bottom of my foot. It hurts a LOT when I put pressure on it, but I cannot tweeze it out because it is several centimeters below the surface of my foot. Is there a trick to get it to the surface? Or how long will it take for my body to naturally dissolve it?!? OUCH...help!

I've got a growing mole, and it seems to be growing bigger everyday. Got this mole since young. I am thinking of having it removed completely. But I do not know of anyone who has gone through this procedure. It will really help if someone could give me a good recommendation, especially someone who has gone thru this procedure with success.
