Diabetes. Once you know you have a peanut allergy you just have to be aware of products that contain or may have come in contact with peanuts(depending on the severity of the allergy). If by chance one does consume peanuts and gets an allergic reaction, a shot from their epi-pen(which anyone with severe allergies should carry on them) will stop the process.
Diabetes, on the other hand, can sometimes be very difficult to control, even when the proper diet is followed. Diabetes can lead to many serious and fatal complications also. For example, a condition called peripheral vascular disease, which many diabetics get, causes a loss of feeling in extremities. Because of this diabetics must be very aware of the their foot care. A small cut that you or I would notice and take care of, will often go unnoticed, and because diabetics have trouble healing, it will become infected, often causing cellulitis or the infection traveling to the bone before the problem is ever noticed. This leads to hospitalization and often times amputation. There are many more complications, but it would take forever to go through all of them here.

The two can not be compared.
Diabetes is a body malfunction. No matter how carefully a person controls thier diabets in the long run it will most likley kill them. Diabetes takes a person's vision and ir ruins thier veins. it causes nerve damage, impotence, inability to heal and much more. A diabetic must watch thier diet and often take shots or medications or both. When yoa re a diabetic even a cold can be very serious because it can cause your sugar to get out of whack.
A diabetis doesn't just take his shots or medicine. If something happens and he has a day he wants to eat more then his bloo dsugar can skyrocket. If he has a day he is not hungry his blood sugar can dopr like a rock. High blodd sugar and l;ow bloo dsugar can both cause you to pass out. Low bloo dsauger you can go into a coma. HIgh your blood gets thick with all the sugar in it an dyou can stroke out.
Peanut allergies? Well I never know peantus were everywhere sitlt they started putting warnings on things! But peanuts seem to be every where. An allergic reaction! YOU have to be very dilligent to avoid them. And any alergy can advance in sensitivity and cause antaphylactic shock, which kills in just a few moments.
Both are but theya re so different I don't see how you could comparre them!

I would have to say peanut allergies because peanuts and peanut oil is so widely used these days. With diabetes you can watch what you eat more easily. Not as many surprises. And then in many cases your just a shot or piece of candy away from feeling better. But if some one changes vegitable oil for peanut oil and you don't know it, it might hit you before you realize it and it could be life threatening. That's my guess........

Peanut allergies. People can get very ill just from SMELLING peanuts, if their allergy is awful. Touching anything that has come in contact with peanuts or peanut oils can trigger it too. Diabetic problems can't be triggered by odor or touch, only by consumption. The big problem with diabetes is the possible daily shots...

Thought I don't know much about either really, I'd assume peanut allergies. While food choices are easy to eliminate in the case of dibetes (shouldn't eat high sugar content foods), a lot of foods are made with peanut oils or bases, and it's probably much more of a hassle.

diabetes because you have to deal with people being noncompliant with their diet and meds in addition to finding that just right dosage for each individual. Peanut allergies just have to educate the patient on where peanuts and peanut produts (like peanut oil) are hidden and to avoid those products.

They hide peanuts in so much stuff, you have to be SO careful!
At least diabetics know what is best for them, because the carbs and sugars they have to watch for, most are labeled.
Some products are not labeled, so it could be difficult to judge what's in them (restaurants are a good example).
