Did she give you instructions on how to apply? Differin will dry your skin out. You should start out slowly and only apply it 1 or 2 days the 1st week, 2 or 3 days the 2nd week, etc... Gradually increase until you use it everyday. The same regimen was prescribed to me - and it took about 7 weeks before I was supposed to use differin every day. Differin / duac is a good combo. It will work - be patient.
Use a moisturizer with an SPF 15 or higher and stay out of the sun, sun exposure will further dry out your skin. Check with your dermatologist to see if she recommends a particular moisturizer.

Frankly, it depends on how bad your acne is and how early you began treating it. My fiance has acne, but it didn't get treated properly immediately so it never went away completely. His brothers were treated heavily at the first sign, and have nearly no zits now.
If you're having problems with your current regimen, talk to your dermatologist to see if this is a) normal or b) a problem.

sounds like she knows what she is doing...just be patient...the skin is trying to heal, and it may take a few weeks for it to start to show....the antibiotic should work well, too, as it is killing off the bacteria in your skin (this is what is causing the outbreaks--the bacteria)....i wouldn't think you would need any really good moisturizers at this point.

it just really depends on what type of skin you have. like for example. that proacitive stuff on TV works on only some people and not on others. but then theres other medications that work too. just try it out. but nothing is guarenteed.
good luck with your acne problem

Yeah, my Dermo prescribed me some Epidou. That stuff actually REALLY worked for me, like instantly. Ask them about that product. Good luck, Jessica

Your dermatologist probably warned you that things would get worse (perhaps 6 weeks) before you get better. I'd ask her before adding in any moisturizers.
