For ten years I was bulimia. I went to the hospital last week and had three bags of pottosium in me. I am so blooded I can't even fit in my jeans. I went from 106 to 114. I know that its because of the bags and IV's that I had. I done with my disorder and now I have a fear of gaining weight. I am eating little portions of meals but I am eating food like a 3 year old because nothing will stay in my system.. How much weight am I going to gain? And will the swelling go down from the I V's that I had. I am seeking help now but I feel so bloaded from the I V's and now that I am eating its making it worse. But I am not going back to my disease. Im done. But how do I at least maintain my weight. I don't want to get any bigger. Will the swelling from the I V's go down, and how long will it take?

I just got over some kind of bug (flu and a little cold). I been feeling like I been off a little. No stress, work is great but since 3 years ago sometimes I feel like a vertigo. My ear rings once in a while. I saw a doctor few years back and found nothing. Does someone else have vertigo and any sugestions?

So about a week or so ago, I got sick after eating Japanese food. I think I am allergic to MSG, but who knows. Well anyways ever since then, just above and just to the left of my bellybutton, theres this funny feeling I get a couple of times a day. The only way to describe it is like my organs are untying themselves. It doesn't hurt in anyway, but it does make me wonder what heck is going on. Its in the same spot every time. Anyone have a clue? and I don't know if the whole Japanese food is intertwined with this feeling, but I started feeling this way when I started getting sick after that meal.

i have a mild inflammation of the liver due to fatty liver (non-alcoholic type, NOT obese but overweight) I've been losing weight and eating right to try to burn the fat off my liver. Question is: I know this condition is chronic (but is said to be reversible) and CAN lead to cirrhosis, but say I change my lifestyle completely and keep a healthy body, can I prevent myself from ever getting cirrhosis in my entire life? They say fatty liver with inflammation can be reversible, does that mean I can get rid of the inflammation through healthy lifestyle choices?

I'm scared that if I just come out and say ' I think Iv got polycystic ovaries' to my doctor they might just dismiss me as a self diagnosing hypochondriac.

My uncle who has been in the hospital now since thursday for double pnemonia. First his liver shut down, and now apparently his kidneys are going as well. His bp has gone up though. Yesterday he was taken off his sedation medication but he still hasn't woken up. They are saying it's going to take a miracle but I refuse to believe this. Is there no chance at all for him? They are checking for brain I feel so guilty right now because I conributed to his alcohol use (he would ask me for money all the time). I cut him off though a week before he ended up in the hospital and I'm starting to think he did something to himself to end up here. We just now found out that he was suppose to go to court a few days ago for stealing beer but he never told us about this. We think he was too afraid too. He helped me out with so many things in life...he wasn't just some bum alcoholic. How can I feel better about this? I've never lost anyone before and we were so close..he was like the father I never had

I feel very tired a lot, and never seem to have any energy even though I get 8 hours sleep every night.
Today was particularly bad - for the first time in years I had something sweet with my lunch because I was really hungry. I ate a toffee apple muffin (crazy flavour, I think they were left over from halloween) and soon after felt so tired I could have just slept. (Though I don't know if this is linked to eating more than usual).
As I said, I've always been lothargic, but today was awful.

I was tested for diabetes a few years ago, so I don't have that, though my Dad wants me to go to the doctor's for a blood test, because my mother has anaemia and he thinks I might have because I get out of breath and dizzy just going up the stairs.

What do you think? I don't want a lot of hassle, and I hate things like blood tests ... but I do wish I had more energy.

Advice, anyone? :)

Question Details: This has been happening to me for quite some time (i've been to a sleep study and haven't gotten the results yet) it happens atleast once every night, but usually 3-4 times a night. I had an episode this morning when falling to sleep and it seemed to last longer than usual and I heard a buzzing/electric sound in my ears, I thought my brain was shutting down and I was dying... anyway, why is it happening so much?? I get plenty of sleep and it still happens!

I have a high pitched tinnitus that I've been told is a result of nerve damage. (Where I got the nerve damage no one knows because I've had this since I was a kid and I've never been around loud noises that I know of.) Anyway, I'm wondering, since we lose our hearing, especially in the upper ranges, as we age, is it possible for me to go deaf enough not to have tinnitus anymore? Or since it's nerve damage am I going to have this high pitched ringing forever? (I'm actually used to it and usually ignore it. So I'm just curious, not stressed about it.)

I just started Ditropan 5 mg about 6 days ago and am still not noticing much relief from going to the bathroom. I don't have any problem during the night - just all day. Does anyone know how long it takes before you start getting relief and do you think it may take a larger dose such as 10 - 15 mg. Thanks.

I woke up this morning having slept for about 7 hours, and then went back to sleep for another hour and a half. When I got up I felt as though I was very drunk, my head was swimming.
Apart from that I have no other physical symptoms, no headache, no earache.

Two days ago (monday) I had ringing in my ears which lasted about 6 hours. I had been out on Saturday at a club but if it was due to loud music surely I'd have had ringing on Sunday.

For the past month I've had an eyebrow twitch which disappeared last week, and I've been having spasms in my neck on the right hand side (I put this down to being on the phone for too many hours in the day though). The docs thought the neck and twitch were nothing to worry about.

Have a docs appt at 4pm, but just wondering if anyone knows what would cause this dizziness... it feels as though i'm going to fall over all the time, my eyelids are puffy and I look pale.

I'm 22, was diagnosed with hypothyroidism last year but not on meds for it.
