I feel very tired a lot, and never seem to have any energy even though I get 8 hours sleep every night.
Today was particularly bad - for the first time in years I had something sweet with my lunch because I was really hungry. I ate a toffee apple muffin (crazy flavour, I think they were left over from halloween) and soon after felt so tired I could have just slept. (Though I don't know if this is linked to eating more than usual).
As I said, I've always been lothargic, but today was awful.

I was tested for diabetes a few years ago, so I don't have that, though my Dad wants me to go to the doctor's for a blood test, because my mother has anaemia and he thinks I might have because I get out of breath and dizzy just going up the stairs.

What do you think? I don't want a lot of hassle, and I hate things like blood tests ... but I do wish I had more energy.

Advice, anyone? :)

Yes,I would say get some routine blood tests from your doctor-sorry theres no other way to get a diagnosis.
If nothing shows up,you would have to look at things like chronic fatigue syndrome,in which case the doctors at the private hospital below, would look into the causes, probably much better than your own doctor.

I get exactly the same.
I wake up at like 7am and by 10 or 11 I'm exhausted.... I've fallen asleep in class a few times and get told to go to bed earlier....BUT I DO!! i mean, straight after dinner (which is usually like 8ish) i fall asleep...wake up an hour later, potter around for a bit, brush my teeth and go back to bed.

-My dad thought i was on drugs for ages.
- If you smoke that could have something to do with it.
-Someone said it could have been to do with my diet, but i don't eat particularly badly. Maybe cut down on the fast food??
- I also posted something on here about it and some lady thought i had this thing (can't remember what is was called but I'll get back to you).

please go get checked out :)
