I have 3 girls and I found lice in two of my girls' head- but I treated all of our heads... I have done the rid, i have spent countless hours with conditioner and the nit metal comb, i have washed and thrown out a lot of things that I thought the lice may be on. I thought they were gone and I found a small lice bug in one of my daughters head again like it was a newly hatched lice. I am so desperate to get rid of this - not to mention my kids are so tired of me picking in their heads. I spend hours and hours on their heads we all have long thick curly hair and I really am trying to avoid cutting their hair. but i will.. I have spent so much money on rid, combs , conditioners please tell me of any remedy that I havent listed here that actually worked! for good! please I am desperate! I cant take this anymore its horrible and gross! i thought the lice couldnt live if it wasnt feeding on a human head? does anyone know if blowdrying or flat ironing the hair would help? maybe burn them up

I've been having trouble sleeping. When I lie on my back, I get strange pain in my upper chest and neck area. It feels sort of like a pressure or tightness coming from inside that makes it hard to breathe. Sometimes it's relieved by taking pepto bismal. Could this be acid reflux, and if so, what will happen if I don't get it treated?

I took my husband to emergency because he had been throwing up and diarahera for several days. They took blood, xray, ekg, and the final comments were 'the gas patern is most consitent with ileus'? What is ileus? Will he need surgery? He said that he probably had the flu or food poisioning, and he does not need to follow through will his doctor. I think that he needs a lower g.i. to make sure that there is not cancer or blockage in his colon.

He currently take Prisloc for acid refleux.

My doctor says there's nothing wrong but I spend half the day feeling like I'm under water and the other half trying to pop my ears. Sometimes they automatically block when I swallow. This is driving me nuts!

Quite a while ago I went through treatment because I was addicted to methamphetamine. I've been clean for quite some time now. I basically started my whole life over, I've got a job, I'm learning how to save money again, and best of all learning how to deal everyday without the urge of using again. I'm actually very PROUD of myself, and so is my family and friends. My question is when will people stop judging me about my past? I know I made a huge mistake, I'd take it back in a heartbeat if I could. Is there some way I can prove myself to them?

This family member has known about a kidney problem since birth and has not taken care of herself. She is overweight and I am afraid she will return to her unhealthy lifestyle after surgery. I on the other hand don't drink or smoke and have always strived to lead a healthy lifestyle. I want to help but she has never helped herself. She has always trashed her body and now she wants others to sacrifice for her. Am I now the selfish one?

a lot worse this last year. This sounds awful, but how long do you have the condition for before you die? This disease makes your innards quash together and protude from your rib cage, which makes it hard for anything to work properly. Mum's in a lot of pain right now and it can't be cured and the next painkillers are morphine based.

The first problem is that they could only see straight ahead (a bit like tunnel vision) and the second is that they cant see straight ahead due to another disease!. Does anyone know what these diseases are. They are registered blind, and will never be able to see. I dont want to be insensitive in asking this person outright.

For a number of years my fingers go white and numb when it's cold. Occasionally a toe will also go white. I have booked an appointment with my GP as the condition is getting worse, I went swimming the other day and my fingers started to pain me. I have to run my hands under warm water for the whiteness and pain to go away. Then my fingers go all purple and swell. Any ideas?

Our son is 11 years old and washes his hands constantly. We can't get him to listen. He will wash for minutes at a time. He will leave the bathroom and go back in just a few minutes and wash again. His hands are getting so dry they are starting to crack. This is a true problem.

More and more children are being prescribed pills like these for conditions like Aspergers, ADHD. I have heard the wonders it does for these children through a lot of answers here. The reason I ask is because of the problems I had with my daughter when she was younger, all symptoms the same as ADHD, and it was suggested to me by my doctor and health visitor that she may have one of these conditions and ritalin was suggested to me. I disagreed and pursued the avenue that it may be food related. After trial and error over a period of time, I found food and drinks containing pure aspartame were the problem and upon presenting this to my doctor was given a full diagnosis that her body could not process this chemical and it caused the chemical imbalance in her brain.
This made me wonder how many doctors actually suggest the food related issues concerning these conditions rather than prescribing these sorts of treatments straight away.
