Have you tried just taking Bendryl. We use the Waldryl from Walgreens and take two before going to bed. It seems to work as well for me as the other "Sleep Aids".

There are so many out there. And no matter what they say on the boxes using them night after night will create a dependency to them. Tylenol PM is a good one or so Ihave heard. I think they have a formula that doesnt help treat tired, achy muscles. THe regular kind helps you sleep and treats the muscle issue and you dont need that extra drug.

You want to make sure when buying a brand that it only is helping you sleep. Using benadryl is not a good idea cause it is meant to treat various other things. The sleep aid is just 1 ingredient of many and you dont need alll the other ones.

THe only thing I didnt like about it was I would take it and be out in about 30 minutes and then after an hour when I was inthe deep REM sleep I would wake up and be all tripped out onthe active drug that makes you fall asleep. Its like being high, which isnt bad cause I do smoke the cheebah, but when I wake up out of a sound sleep and look up to see the walls spinning and such it is an uncomfortbale feeling. It almost had a reverse on me. I nod out and hten wake up and cannot get back to sleep.

But im sure reactions may vary

I use something called Sleep 2 on the rare occasions where I can't sleep. I believe it contains the same drug Benadryl does (diphenhydramine). I got it from Walgreens.

You do not need a prescription for this drug if you get the 25 mg pills (maybe the 50 mg pills are available w/o one, not sure though) and I just take one or two before I go to bed.

If you take this route, make sure you get at least 7 or 8 hours of sleep before waking up.

Read Psalms or Proverbs from the Bible. It gives you great advice and calms you down. The Bible refers to several instances where people meditated on Psalms and it renewed them and gave them peace and comfort. I do it every night. I read until I can not focus anymore, then turn out the light, turn over and sleep like a baby. I wake up in the morning very refreshed and well rested.
