If my blood pressure is 144-93 is this way high or just a little high. See the doctor or just try changing my diet?

My mother in law has her blood pressure measured at 201/88 by a nurse [not GP]

She is 92 years old and in adequate health generally.

Is the systolic figure something to worry about and if so what might it indicate?

Lifting heavy weights only effects people with a severe case of MVP. I think too many people lump everyone in the same group, thus restricting not only lifting weights, but the amount as well? I have MVP for 16 years, and have been lifting weights the whole time with no problems whatsoever, and I lift fairly heavy weights in the gym. I have never had any problems associated with this, and my Doctor encourages me to lift and do cardio. Again, my MVP is very mild, so I am sure in severe cases such activities should be avoided, but so far, so good for me. I love to lift and feel it is very beneficial to my overall health.

I have been to 3 ENT's, have had every test known to man & not one so-called dr. can give me the reason for this terrible, irritating pounding in my right ear. I do not have high blood pressure, I have low cholesterol, I checked out perfectly with brain scans & still no answer why this has been going on for almost 2 years now, why do they go to medical school if they can't find out the cause ?

i have been on betablockers for the last 3 months due to anxiety attacks. at first they were working well but now i have been noticing some pains in my chest a bit like a paper cut type of pain that last about half a second then stops. ill probally have these a couple of times a day. I also have a slow heat beat, at rest it is 60 beats in a minute, it used to be faster than this.
Also on these tablets, if i find my self getting stressed or angry it feals like my chest is really warm, a bit like heartburn. The same happens after any kind of exercise. Is this normal and sould i go and see my doctor?

I am a 14 year old girl, and there is a history of heart disease in the women on my mom and dads side, and heart attacks in men on just my dads side. Will aspirin (along with a healthy diet etc.) help to prevent this? is it safe to take at my age? how much should i take?

I dont know if its from that, or just anxiety but it seems to happen right after I take my pain killers. Hyrdocodene 750mg and I take percocet sometimes. Its probally my anxiety right? If anything I would think it would acually releive anxiety since it slows down your central nervous system like xanax. I have xanax too but I dont want interactions to happen and all that.

My wife is 29 years old and the doctor said they heard a systolic murmur when they listened to her heart. She is getting an echocardiogram on Friday.

She was under extreme stress at the time they listened due to the other procedures taking place in this visit. She has never had any heart problems.

Could extreme stress cause a heart murmer?

Could it make an existing murmur more pronounced so that it gets detected?

How can I avoid worrying myself into the grave between today and Friday?

I recently asked a very valid question about my cholesterol level and I got some wacked out answers. Why am I getting insulted over a question. My question was, how low is too low for cholesterol levels, and some guy is trying to tell me to cut all fat from my diet. I did that, and now my cholesterol is below 100, did he even read my question? Is that too low? There is evidence that low cholesterol can bring on depression and anxiety. So how can I bring my cholesterol up, WITHOUT binging on processed, fatty foods? Seems like a totally reasonable question.

Hello, I need your opinion> I had chest x-ray w/ airway and/or pulmonary hiperexpansion result , had CT scanning w/ mosaic attenuation pattern, had another CT with mosaic perfusion, had stress test - normal, had ekg - normal.
I still don't know what is the problem and doctors are suggesting that is only muscle. I have constant chest and back pain, rib cage pain (left side), lots of gases/noise in my upper abdomen, am tired at all time, lack of breathing, swollen in different areas of my body at different time, gain of weight...
I do appreciate you personal opinion. thank you

I have a heart murmur.
Is it potentially dangerous to smoke (whether marijuana or ciggarettes) with this condition?
What are the effects from doing these things?
What other bad habits can cause bad things to happen, and what are they and how?

i went to the doctor yesterday and he told me to take my meds twice daily now, and to keep a log on my BP then return in 2 weeks. my BP is still high, so how long will it take to get it down? what more can i do to get it down, and stay down?

iwent to a urgent care clinic Thursday evening for this problem, and they almost killed me! they gave me lassics and two doses of BP meds and sent me home. my BP dropped at midnight to 62/40 and only went up to 87/66. my face and lips turned white and i was afraid that if i passed out that i wouldn't wake up. so, i put cold water on my face and head till the ambulance got here. i was dehydrated from lassics and had too much BP meds in me...it was so bad that it took them 11 times to get an IV started in me!!!
what can i do to keep it from getting to the point of going back to the hospital? i've been on a strict diet and i cannot exercise good, because of knee replacement surgery and severe back problems too! and, it goes up too high when i do
