You can apply to local judge. He can mark your apllication to the hospital where autopsy of your husband was done and you can get the report.

Write a letter to the attention of the director of medical records at the hospital where he died, requesting the results of your husband's autopsy. Regular mail should suffice, but a certified letter gets their attention. If no response, have your attorney send a certified letter to the hospital administrator.

Unless there are special circumstances surrounding the death of your husband, you should have no difficulty.

contact the coroner or his former doctor. after death, HIPPAA no longer applies and the cause should be a matter of public record.
