After reading all the answers of the above respondents, I will advise you to report immediately to an ER, as the BP reading are putting stress on your Coronaries & your Cerebral Artery/arteries. So before you end up in any Complication/s as BP 130/90 is high over 144/105 is affecting the coronaries and 170/124 both as mentioned above.

Even the 144 / 105 is a little high. You should see your doctor for a blood pressure evaluation anyway. Normal blood pressure should be less than 120 (systolic, top line) and less than 80 (diastolic, bottom line). Anything over 180 systolic or 120 diastolic is considered severe risk of heart disease or stroke. If it gets that high again, go to the ER.

You and your doctor need to know what is normal for you. There are lots of bad complications from high BP, which includes ruptured aneurysms that can kill people. John Ritter had his aorta tear. I don't know what his blood pressure was, but lower blood pressure might have saved him.
Yours is well above normal.
I can no longer tolerate the normal 120/80 (can't sleep well, get more angina), and am at 96/64 medicated.

Your blood pressure in not stable and can lead to a stroke starting at 190 to 210 and up. You need to contact your doctor to get this regulated with medication. You lower number is too high right now but your top 144 is ok but not great. Shoot for around 115 over 80ish.

Anything above 130/90 is considered high. In your case it is very high. You need immediate medical attention. You are Hypertensive.
Go for an ECG and a lipid profile test. You may be having high cholesterol/triglycerides and thus a few blocks.
Cut down on common salt intake. Drink lots of water.
HOME REMEDIES FOR HYPERTENSION
* Garlic helps to lower blood pressure by 5 to 10%. It can also lower cholesterol, reduce triglyceride levels, does not allow the clot formation, and increases blood circulation.
* Add one teaspoon of cayenne pepper in half a cup Luke warm water and stir.
Drink when required.
* Prepare a mixture by adding 1/2 onion juice and 1/2 honey. Take 2 tbls once a day for 1-2 weeks.
* Eat 1 Papaya on an empty stomach daily for a month. Do not eat anything after for about 2 hours.
* Intake of potassium also helps to maintain the blood pressure.
* Some parts of the Laminaria and similar seaweeds are used as a blood-pressure-lowering drug in a preparation called Kombu.
* Lemon balm (Melissa officinalis) has a tonic effect on the heart and circulatory system. Drink the tea daily, or use lemon balm vinegar on salads.
* Take nutmeg or saraswat powder in warm milk.
* Take equal parts of Ashwagandha, Valerian, and Gotu kola. Mix well and take 1-3 grams of the powdered herbs with warm water or with ghee.
* Being physically active is one of the most important steps to prevent or control high blood pressure.
* Reduce salt intake, smoking, alcohol intake and avoid fried foods.
* Increase the intake of fruits and green vegetables in the diet.
* Reduce stress.
* Those who are over weight should try hard to reduce weight. Weight reduction can be achieved through regulation of diet, reasonable and non-tiring exercise.
* Morning walk is also very helpful in reducing the blood pressure.

If your diastolic bp (the lower number) is >100 for over an hour, call your dr. immediately. It is high enough to cause a stroke if it remains elevated.
On systolic (upper number) if it is >170-180, then I would worrry.....
Sounds like you need to call your dr., and if you don't get some kind of immediate response, head to the ER.

Are you currently taking any medication for it? Yes, see your Doctor. There are some great medicines to lower it and that will lower your risk for stroke. Try to go either to urgent care or get in to your own DR.
