Hello~ I have pvc's (premature ventricular contractions)
I've been to the dr/ Cardiologist, had a EKG, an ultra sound, and have worn a hear monitor for 48 hours. I was told that they could put me on a beta blocker to maybe help with them, but I don't want to take meds. They also said that dropping a few lbs, and cutting out caffeine would also help. So I stopped drinking all caffeinated products, and only have chocolate every now and then. I also lost a few lbs, but I've noticed that my heart rate dropped, and now I feel the PVC's more. I wanted to stop them not feel them more. How does one learn to live with this kind of issue? I feel them through out the day, and more at night. I'm told there not life threatening, but you can only wonder if that's 100% true. Your heart can do many different things, and if you already have pvc's then that it self is considered to be an irregular heartbeat.
I'm scared... scared to death. HELP ME! Please
Does any one have any advice?
Thanks much!

I am 6 months pregnant and found out that my daughter has a duplication on the tip of her 3rd chromosome, which has already caused a very severe heart defect called Ebstein's Anomaly. Does anyone have any information about disorders related to this?

My 2- year old son is scheduled to undergo vsd closure next week. His VSD was detected when he was 3 months old. He is active like a normal child. ECG has been done twice at the national heart institute. The second ECG done was on August this year and the doctor said that my son's VSD is still there although very small. The problem based on what the doctor said is that the hole is very close to the valve and it may risk his heart if surgical procedure is not done. Since his birth, his health condition is good. I'm in dilemma now as whether the VSD closure is really needed or I have to wait for the possibilty that it may close on its own. I'm so worried as he is just a kid.

My grandfather was a vascular surgeon for the most of his medical career, he had a triple bypass about 12 years ago, he has since and even before been in great health (his heart problems are genetic) and goes to the gym many times a week. He eats properly and looks after himself. I talked to my mom last night and she just informed he that he wasn't doing very well. We are very close but I live 12 hrs away from them. I just wanted some more info on bypasses so I can keep up with what is going on in his life. I love my gramps a lot and couldn't imagine getting married next year without him there, so I am really sad right now. Please help just words of wisdom pls, and some positive words too!
