I am 16 years old and weigh around 118. I eat all the time and don't gain any weight. I passout about once every semester. My heart sometimes races when I am not even doing anything (like going to sleep). I day dream a lot during school and have a hard time concentrating and always procrastinate. I do have anxiety problems and have noticing more and more headaches than before I started passing out. I do eat junk food during snacks and sometimes fruit. For meals I eat pretty healthy (spaghetti, meat, etc...). People always say I am really skinny, but I eat more than them. Do I have low blood sugar and what other symptoms or ways would I know?

I think I've been exhibiting some of symptoms of diabetes (examples: extreme thirst, frequent urination, headaches, etc.) and when I mentioned it to a friend (who is obv. not a doctor) she didn't seem to think I had diabetes. She has a friend who does and he exhibits the classic symptoms everyone thinks of associated with diabetes: typically a "drunk", woozy and lethargic feeling when the blood sugar is low. Now, I do NOT have symptoms like THAT, however after doing research there are those that I do have -- actually what seems like quite a large majority.

Are there any doctors out there who might be able to answer my question? I hate going to the doctor's with a list of symptoms, ready to produce my own diagnosis.

And I am not a hypocondriac. My mother, who hated going to the doctors, died of a sudden stroke while she had no known health problems. I think she may have been diabetic because a stroke is a complication, and she also had glaucoma and possibly high bloodpressure.

My husband has type1 diabetes(early onset). We are pregnant with our first child. My concern is that I cannot trust his judgement with our child when I am not around. When he has these episodes he is unaware that they are emerging/or coming into play. Does anyone have any advise? We are going to see a diabetic specialist as well, but if anyone has experienced this first hand your advice would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks,
Fe

Ok so today I got a phone call from the nurse at the doctors office telling me that I failed my 3 hour test.. She said that 3 of the 4 came back elevated, and that the worse out of all was the one that was up to 244 "my sugar level" I did everything I was suppose to and still I failed. I am really nervous about the health of our baby now.. I have read and heard from many people that this pregnancy related complication can cause you to have an extremely large baby.. And that it can cause other health issue if it isnt well watched for the remainder of the pregnancy.. I have a home health nurse coming out to get me all set up with my equipment to start testing my self.. I have to test 4 times a day atleast, and watch what I eat.. Does anyone know what I can eat if anything. I was to no high carbs and no sugar, but what else do I need to watch out for? Please anyone that has had this tell me what you did.. I want to get a start on things now before the nurse shows up...

My bf is 14 and diabetic, he's been diagnosed since may this year. i wasn't with him until begging of July, so I don't know how he controlled it then, but recently he's had blood sugars from one extreme to the other, today it was 2.5!!! and it should be about 10, last week he had a level of 17 and then 21. is there something he's not doing right, not having the right amount of insulin or anything else, because if he keeps going like this he's going to put himself in hospital!

Hi, sometimes when I eat and I randomly check my levels it can be as high as 300. What should my target be? Some people say 140, some say 160. Alright thanks for the input.
