I used to work at a grocery store, and there was this great lady that worked there. She was always so kind and sweet to everyone and was a great listener. I do not work there anymore, but found out through a friend that she has recently been diagnosed with colon cancer. The woman is very poor and has no family....her mother died a couple years ago, and she was never married. I feel so compelled to help her out, since she was always so available to help us out. What can be done? I'm not sure where to start. Thanks.

Ok so my uncle has cancer and me and my family talked about it a while and everyone in my family believes that doctors DO have a cure for cancer and they are not doing anything about it. Everyone in my family agrees that they are getting rich off everyone fundraising and donating money to find a cure for cancer. I too believe this 100 percent. Its like my father said, they can clone people with all this new technology now adays but they can't cure a sickness? Thats very strange. My family does not donate money to any cancer society now like we used to. If the doctors did say they found a cure they would be loosing all this donated money from people to find a cure. People have been donating money for years and years and where is it all going? How much could it possibly cost? I believe they do have a cure and are just out for all the money being donated. What is your opinion on this?
It makes me mad because loved ones are dieing when they could be living a fuller life

In my neck, above the collarbone, I feel a small lump. It doesn't feel rock-hard but is kind of firm, feels like what can be described as "movable", doesn't hurt, and is not swollen (the whole thing can fit on the center of the top of my finger, and isn't readily visible: you have to feel for it even if I turn my head all the way over).

These things appear to be in my favor:
1. The apparent absense of swelling, small
2. No B symptoms
3. Firm and not rock-hard
4. Moveable

These things appear to spell out cancer:
1. Lack of pain. Although I can't feel pain in any of my other neck lymph nodes.
2. The fact that there is firmness at all

I am otherwise very healthy, I have an immune system built like a tank and my cuts and bruises heal faster than anybody I've ever seen.

I estimate the node has been like this for maybe a half year.

I am going to the doctors soon for my permit, so I'll have him check it out.

If I do, how long would I have to live?

Hi, I want to line my house with rope light in one room but the tag on the light says it conatins lead and may cause cancer. I want to string this stuff over my head, is it healthy to be living in a room with cancer causing rope light hanging over your head. Or is it just more of a legal warning ?

She's 74 and feels fine with no symptoms and is going back for more blood tests. Will get the details from my dad. I'm an optimist but not like what I'm reading already. Is it possible to live with this without Chemo or drugs? Just learning what to expect. thanks

The reason I'm asking a question is that my two older brothers( I'm the youngest) are ganging up on me, and telling me i need to drop everything and move home to take care of my mom. I would gladly do it, but I cant quit my job, i have bills, a family and I'm in the middle of a semester at college, and we just signed a lease for a year on a new apartment ( a week prior to diagnosis). I Love my mom, and have been driving the 60 miles either everyday or every other day, i also am in charge of all of her financial matters, paperwork, etc. I have already gotten my mom enrolled in a program to help with nursing and other needs while I'm away...and currently my mom is in the hospital. My oldest brother is by her side 24 hours a day, but he is unable to care 100% for him self, he is high functioning autistic. My brothers have called me an in great to the family because I'm not there all day long to care for my mother. Any ideas on how to deal with , the cancer, my brothers etc. would be great

Im seeing pink for the cure products everywhere, so Im sure by now there must be TONS of money for this cause. Im just wondering what sort of impact this is having, are we any closer to finding a cure? or is the majority of this money going towards breast cancer awareness?

Because I am aware that people get brest cancer, but I dont know why they get it, how to prevent it, or anything about it..I never hear about any of that.

Also, is breast cancer the only kind of cancer that doesnt have a cure yet, or is it the only one they decided to market? It seems unfair to put so much money into one illness, and not any others?

I was diagnosed on June 4th of this year and went into remission on August 4th exactly 2 months later. In between my heart quit on me 3 times due to the chemo.

my wife has gone thru the full chemo treatment for breast cancer, and had a masectomy last week.

now the doctor said the pathology test show she has vascular space invasion. she had 6 lymph nodes removed as weell - the chemo killed the cancer in this.
what is the news about this - survival-recurrance-treatment. please give it to us straight, thanks

My Brother is 23 and he was diagnosed with testicular cancer, THE EXACT SAME KIND THAT LANCE ARMSTRONG HAD. he went through chemo and it didn't do anything. It had spread to one lymph node before chemo and after the lymph node got bigger and spread 2 another. has anyone had the same thing and it end up working out. The next step is Surgery. 90% chance but no gurantees and what would be the next step? Thanks, The older brother.

i have a neighbor who is 31 years old and she told the whole neighborhood that she has esophageal cancer from smoking and drinking. i think she found out in february of this year and had been doing radiation. she said the dr. told her that it was so bad, there was no cure for it and she may not even make it til the end of the year. she was taking radiation in june but i dont know if she still is. now when we see her out, she seems to have gained a lot of weight back and i hear her talking to friends about drinking and wanting to get wasted. i also saw her smoking outside the other day. she told me a few months ago that the dr. told her is she smoked another cigarrette or had a drink it could kill her. my question is this, we are all wondering if she really ever had cancer. she is the type of person who lies about alot of things.can someone who has this type of cancer just get over it and start back smoking that fast ?? can anyone help with this question ??

I ask because I have a son who was terminally ill with leukemia. I believe he was overdosed with morphine. I know the dosages he was given but am trying to find out if he was given too much. His breathing was extremely slowed. I feel like maybe it did not all happened legitimaly or legally.
