I see so many people around here talking about all natural therapies, herbal remedies, and things like diet changes as a cure to cancer.

I have to ask...

The people who go around advertising this:

Would you use this in your own cancer treatment?

Is there even one person around here who did use something like that and make any progress?

Ive been through cancer treatment, and I just dont see it.

I know chemotherapy causes hairloss. But what about when you're not chemotherapy? Is it just a myth? Could hairloss be a cancer symptom?

My dad will be starting his radiotherapy treatment next month for 30 days. The doctors say that he'll be receiving the treatment in the morning and can actually go home for the day after the treatment has been administered. I have a one-year-old kid who really loves to play with his grandpa. Is it safe for my kid to hang around my dad whenever he comes home from the hospital after his treatment.?

I had a mammogram & breast ultrasound done for a lump in my left breast. The mammogram didn't reveal anything but the ultrasound revealed a solid mass with blurry edges so they weren't sure what it is. I have to go for surgery in a month to get it fully removed & then biopsied. I've read that blurry edges in an ultrasound can indicate cancer...is this true?

Why is it that so many people make such a big deal about breast cancer awareness? there are so many other diseases out there that people can talk about, why isn't there prostate cancer awareness month. I think it is all annoying and WAY over done, why make something out to be worse than it is and put to much emphasis on it. Stop all this annoying pink ribbon crap.. it's on EVERYTHING I'm about to stop buying anything that remotely supports it cause it's too over done, I'm to that point, is anyone else with me on this???

It don't believe it's standard at 30 with an HMO that they will do one. But with people getting cancer so young these days I want one! And does one mean they can find ANY lumps you may have? No one in my family has had breast cancer, but I still want the mammagram

I just found out that my Young Uncle (47 yrs Old) has been given 3 to 6 months to live due to Colon Cancer. His liver has failed and the Doctors say that can not do any more.

His wife has sent an e-mail out to all the family and friends asking us to think positive and send our thoughts their way.

I don't know what to say, I am so sadend by this news and would like to let them know what my thoughts are with them, but I just don't know how to put the right words down on paper. What do you say to someone or their family members in a situation like this?

Thanks,

they want to stop smoking.
people feel sad and depress c/ they dying.
It's funny to me c/ it like smoking cig. it like slowly suicide.l
You agree? If you love yourself and your family or whom you living for you want do anything harmful to yourself.
I think that people that smoke just don't care about them self and don't want to live anyway.

I was 57 when I was diagnosed with stage 3 breast cancer in February 2004. I had a partial mastectomy and 5 lymph nodes removed, followed by 6 months of chemotherapy and 6 weeks radiation. I have only met 3 other women who were ER negative out of the hundreds of women I have met since I began this journey. So much is written about and for women who are ER positive and the medicines that have been created for them. Is there information out there for women like me? Thankyou!
