I'm very worried, and she thinks it's the one on your throat where you get it cut out and can't talk, or you die from it.
More over, she's been acting bitter, crying, and a bit depressed. We're not the most functional or together family, but she's blaming us, because we are irresponsible, I'll admit it.
What bothers me most is, whenever she has an infliction (like this), and she's worried about it, she won't go see a doctor! She just gripes and complains, and cries about it! I think she'd probably get mad at me if I scheduled an appointment for her (What kind of doctor?? Radiologist?), and I"m not really sure how.
I've been praying for her, and yes, we're religious. When I was going through a rough time in life, she told me to pray and ask God for help, but now, she doesn't take he own advice. I know she prays, but when I tell her that it'll be alright, that God'll take care of her, she just sighs and says, "I don't know."
I'm really worried. Any help would be much appreciated. =(

We spend mass dollars on treatments that treat. People survive cancer thet dont get cured. Why wont they release the information i have read about it in canada they cured cancer at the microbal level in a lab. We have some evidince that cayenne peppers shrink tumors because of the chemical compounds they contain. Even tough some research is going on it just gets called promising new findings. Its like when billions of dollars is at stake no amount of human life matters unless its an epidimec or an outbrak that can spread quickly.
It's a shame cancer is a slow disease the needs treatment.
This treatment makes medical companys billions why the hell would they change to a drug that could kill the tumor and cure cancer when they have chemo?

WARNING -- LOTS OF DETAIL -- MAY UPSET SOME

Someone I know has advanced colorectal cancer. The tumor perforated his intestines recently. As a result, he's had a colostemy and is currently being treated with chemo. He has no history of hemmrhoids. Since the perforated intestine/colostemy, he's had considerable rectal bleeding, apparently of sufficient volume to be compared to the first day or two of a menstrual cycle. The bleeding has not increased/decreased since the chemo began a couple of weeks ago.

His doctor is out of town, the on call physician won't address the issue, and we've not found much online to tell us why this could be. Again, it's not hemmhroids and since he has the colostemy, shouldn't be anything related to his intestines. Furthermore, we've read that tumors don't bleed so it shouldn't be that either. Does anyone have any ideas on possibilities/places to research?

Thank you.

Ok, Where to start.

I have been living with extreme anxiety for the past 15 years it's gotten a lot worse the past year.
I have gone in and out of the Doctors and hospitals.
Lately I have been very afraid of possibly having an abnormal heart. So I recently have had numerous EKGs, Halter tests, and most recently a ECO plus a stress test. Everything has come back positive. I still worry. I still think I feel palptations and wonder if something is wrong. More then one doctor has told me it is probably do to stress or anxiety.
I'm learning to cope and accept.
On Monday I am having a Ultrasound done on my gall bladder, liver, kidneys, and spleen. I recently had blood test and my ALT and AST were higher then normal. The dr said they are only slightly high and I have nothing to worry about. So I insisted on tests.
I'm afraid of maybe having cancer. I am bloated all the time. I have irregular bowelments, plus what else could be causing the high alt and ast numbers? I need advice.

I had a lumpectomy in Nov 06 and radiation therapy for 6 weeks. I am now taking tamoxifen.

At what point in time do I begin counting my survivor time? I asked my oncologist and his reply was "when you finished your radiation treatments".

For those who are counting, at what point did you start counting?

My nephew has lost alot of weight, eyes are sunk in, will not eat hardly at all. My neice took him to the doctor and the urine test showed an abnormally high wbc in his urine. He is thirsty and will drink but hardly urinates. He has been sick a few times in the last few months with flu-like symptoms. The dr. put him on Bactrim and said to bring him back in 10 days to do more testing, blood work, etc... Can anyone tell me what they think this is? His grandfather died of throat cancer the year before he was born and his mom died two years before he did of cancer. I'm not scared of any answers you may give and any input would be appreciated. Thanks and God Bless.

It dosen't look good either. Shes 67, and does not want any kind of treatment. I'm 25, and in the health care industry. But I don't know anything. I don't know how to get power of attourny, or what to do if she is really ill and the hospital relases her. I can't afford to put her in a nursing home. I don't even know if I want to do that. But I can't stay home with her all day and not work. All of my family is in New Jersey, and I don't have much of a support system down here in Florida. I feel alone, scared, and really confused. If anyone out there has some helpful advise I'd sure appriciate it.
Thanks.
