Normally they give you a bone marrow transplant.

Myelosuppression from conventional chemotherapy is usually transient, and the blood counts will usually recover within 1-2 weeks. Injection of certain growth factors can sometimes help the bone marrow recover during this period, but if there are severe low blood counts, then transfusions may be necessary.
