My aunt is a heavy drinker (jack and 7) anyways she would have a drink or two everynight for the passed 14 years but for the passed 3 or 4 months she would start early like when she woke up and be up in the middle of the night to drink so for about 2 weeks she's been really weak and sleeping all day and so i finnaly i took her to the hospital cause i was really worried and she has two kids she was there for six day and got 4 to 5 blood transfusions during her stay they knew about her drinking ofcorse but were think possible cancer they ran alot of test and found nothing so they sent her home today im scared she still could be losing blood i dont know could all of this be because of her drinking??

Over long term, heavy drinking can cause bleeding problems, but the biggy is the liver disease it causes. Chronic alcoholism is bad.

From what i know drinking does not cause internal bleeding but it kills your liver after a period of time it also can wreck your brain cell count...she could have suffered severe alcohol poisoning her iron level might be low...it could be if her period makes her loose TOO much blood as well it makes you weak from iron going down..dont worry too much if they said they have not found anything wrong ^_^ just watch out for anything and make sure shes ok

She probably has Cirrosis of the Liver, that was brought ON by her heavy drinking... Pray for her Family- & let the Doctor's do what they can...
