Ok so my uncle has cancer and me and my family talked about it a while and everyone in my family believes that doctors DO have a cure for cancer and they are not doing anything about it. Everyone in my family agrees that they are getting rich off everyone fundraising and donating money to find a cure for cancer. I too believe this 100 percent. Its like my father said, they can clone people with all this new technology now adays but they can't cure a sickness? Thats very strange. My family does not donate money to any cancer society now like we used to. If the doctors did say they found a cure they would be loosing all this donated money from people to find a cure. People have been donating money for years and years and where is it all going? How much could it possibly cost? I believe they do have a cure and are just out for all the money being donated. What is your opinion on this?
It makes me mad because loved ones are dieing when they could be living a fuller life

If they were to say they had a cure for cancer they would be loosing a lot of money. The money people would pay to have the cancer removed would not even come close to the money they now make from people donating for them to find a cure and this is why I think they are saying they have not found a cure yet. This is really sick because many loose wives, husbands, and sometimes they're own kids to cancer.

I understand your family’s anger and frustration. I have had cancer, my mother died of it and so did my aunt, my uncle, my sister-in-law, my cousin’s teenage son and three of my grandparents, so I know how you feel.

But there is no conspiracy to hide a miraculous cancer cure.Cancer is many different diseases, not just one; no single treatment is effective for all of them so there will never be a single cure for all of them.

If there was a secret cure:

*the person/people who discovered it would be keeping quiet despite the fact that it would bring them fame and fortune

*the thousands of people who would have to have been cured by it in order to prove it worked would be keeping quiet about it because...why?

*doctors, scientist, researchers etc would be watching their relatives die (they and their families develop cancer at the same rate as the rest of the population) even though they knew of a cure

*every single medical professional in the whole world would agree to keep the secret. Likely?

Chemotherapy and radiotherapy are not perfect, far from it, but we know, because they have been clinically tested and proven, that they save some lives and extend many others. Cancer treatments are improving all the time thanks to dedicated hard work by those professionals you suggest are concealing a cure.

Money donated to cancer charities goes on research, it isn't pocketed by doctors.

EDIT: someone has posted a link to a site about Rife's quack anti-cancer machine. This link will give you more accurate information:

There ARE atleast possible cures for some types of cancer. For example, stem cell transplants are a possible cure for leukemias and lymphomas. The docs do tell these patients this and encourage them to go through it.

It is hard to say a treatment is a cure because if they miss even one single cell of the cancer, it can lie dormant for years and then suddenly start growing out of control again.

Some cancers have no clue of a cure yet.

A good part of donated money, goes to the adminstrative costs of the companies taking the dontations. So its not the docs or the gov getting all that money.

If there really were wide spread cures for cancers, we would know. The docs and so forth that knew about it would be using it to cure their friends and family. People cant keep secrets like that.

Edit:
Diets and juicing are NOT a cure for any cancer, nor will they prevent you from getting cancer. Although, in my opinion, going organic may help, but its not a cure or a prevention (I sometimes wonder what they are doing to use with the constant antibiotics animals are given as well as the hormones and the pesticides and other chemicals sprayed on grown food)

If there was a cure, the pharmacutical companies would charge an arm and a leg, insurance companies wouldnt cover it, and only the people with money would be able to get while the poor couldnt. Basically the way it is with treatment today. I have public insurance and my docs have had to fight to get some of my treatments an meds approved.

Also, most cancers are found so late that nothing can be done. People cant afford docs and tests and hosps, a lot of times even when they have insurance. So even though they know or think there is a problem, the excuse it as something else and dont go to the doc. How many ppl have you seen on here asking the more or less uneducated (other than personal experience) ppl what they have and if they should go to the doc, instead of just going to the doc

There is no vast conspiracy . . think about this logically . . just exactly how would anyone be able to keep this away from the investigative reporters, the press, Fox News, CNN, and all the eager beaver reporters bent on coming up with a story like this? A conspiracy by the medical community, researchers . . don't you think that would be HUGE news? And, just exactly where is this conspiracy . . in the US . . the whole world? How would anyone keep this secret? They would make far more money and receive all the glory to reveal a 'cure' for over 200 different types of cancer.

So, no, although I understand your frustration more than you will ever know (my beautiful son has a rare stage IV abdominal cancer and has been fighting his disease for over two years - so I understand the horror of cancer very, very well and have done extensive research). From my experience I have not witnessed any type of effort to prevent my child from receiving the best possible treatment aimed at a curative outcome. Quite the opposite, in fact.

Incidentally, the idea that there is a 'cure' for cancer being hidden is considered one of the top ten MYTHS about cancer.
Remember there is no cure for the common cold either.

All organizations have profiles designating what portion of their budgets come from donations and breakdowns on how it is spent. The majority of cancer research dollars still come from government grants. If anyone had a cure, believe me they would be much wealthier making money off whatever could cure cancer as opposed to research. There is no cure yet! Laboratories, equipment, supplies, qualified researchers, technicians, and education do not come cheap.

I believe we've come a long way through research, but there is so much more that needs to be learned.
I have a disease, but they don't know what causes it,just that some people get it and others don't.
Too many illnesses and not enough money or people to work on cures.
Sorry about your uncle. My brother has cancer as well and isn't expected to make it to Thanksgiving.
It truely is heartbreaking when there is nothing you can do to make things better and ease their suffering.

I don't agree with you. There are many people who are wealthy with great contacts and they can't avoid dying from cancer. There are many different cancers and there have been a lot of advances on some of them. Hopefully some day there will be a cure. I have cancer, my sister has cancer. My mother and father who have died had cancer, and my husband died almost 6 months ago from cancer.

I know how you feel, I'm upset about this too. I've had so many family members die from cancer, from colon to breast, and they still have trouble finding a cure? I mean, we spent 12 million tax dollars to create a pen that can write upside down in space (for the gravity) and the Russians or so use a pencil. It's ridiculous.

Anyways, I hope I helped you out.

I believe that there is a good chance most cancers can be cured.............
.....if they are found early enough!

There is not just one cancer so there is not just one miracle cure!
I understand what you are saying and have every sympathy with you and empathy as my dad passed away this year with lung cancer, he wasn't diagnosed untill it was in the late stages so he was at a big disadvantage for any hope of a cure.
good luck to you and your uncle xx

Well...I can't say if they do or don't have a cure that they are just hiding, but considering how corrupt our world is these days, you have a point. I recently found out that my sister in law may have liver cancer. Doctors are just as bad too when it comes to money. Caring doctors are hard to find.
