Hi, I want to line my house with rope light in one room but the tag on the light says it conatins lead and may cause cancer. I want to string this stuff over my head, is it healthy to be living in a room with cancer causing rope light hanging over your head. Or is it just more of a legal warning ?

the rope CONTAINS lead. As long as it doesn't break you have no worries, if it breaks you could be exposed to lead, and therefore have a risk of cancer, but frankly, I wouldn't worry about it. Your risk goes up by about 0.002%.
