my wife has gone thru the full chemo treatment for breast cancer, and had a masectomy last week.

now the doctor said the pathology test show she has vascular space invasion. she had 6 lymph nodes removed as weell - the chemo killed the cancer in this.
what is the news about this - survival-recurrance-treatment. please give it to us straight, thanks

You need to sit down and have a frank conversation with your wifes oncology team. I would also get at least one other opinion from an unaffiliated oncology group associated with a large cancer center such as Sloan Kettering or M.D. Anderson if you live in the States. I am sure there is a university hospital near you.
No one on this forum can give you accurate information as to your wifes true prognosis without thorough review of your wifes records and a complete physical evaluation.
It is well worth the time and effort to be proactive and get another opinion so you can make the best choices,and most insurance policies will pay for a second opinion.
Attitude and ths support of family and friends can help tremendously in survival rates and no one has a template for exactly how each case will go. Eat right, think possitive and focus on living . I wish you the best.

I had a masectomy 4 yaers ago, and then, I made 2 chemo treatment, without lymph nodes invaded. I took 2pils/day and I still take, Tamoxifen, and after 5 years, I'll take, posibly, Femara or anything else
