My cousing is dieing from cancer. She is only 24. I am an 8 year survior of the same kind of cancer. I feel so rotten that I beat it and she cant. She is in the ICU, and the doctors say her days are coming to and end, and I just feel terrible.

All I can think to ask the Dr. during pre-op consultation is; "How long will hospital stay be?"

Please help me think of pertinent questions to ask.

I am going to talk to my doc tomorrow about getting a mammogram. My mom had breast cancer when she died, two weeks ago. My insurance doesn't cover until 35 and then you can only get one mammogram b/w 35 - 39. My insurance will cover it if it's medically necessary. I will pay either way, but I wonder if my insurance will pay for it b/c my mom had the disease.

BTW- I am 31, but I have heard of numerouse stories of people my age dying of breast cancer.

I have serious cancer and I feel that I'm getting worse and worse. Doctor have already stopped my chemotherapy. Now doc and my parent are starting to talk about end of life care. Because I'm considered too young, I don't well informed about this and my parents seem reluctant to talk about this openly. And I only get a very blurr idea about this kind of treatment.

But I need to know. What's end of life care? What I get with this care? How do they treat me? Is someone who get end of life care mean her death is very near? This is very important to me, and i need to know.

I was diagnosed in may 2006 and am undergoing chemotherapy with thalidomyde and dexamethazone. My doctor said that is working. If anybody out there knows this disease, please reply! Can I beat it, or at least prolong my life span after the bone marrow transplant? Thanks for answering (hopefully!).

hi i am 19 years of age.i spend a lot of time on the pc the pc with the light of at night and for a bit in the day i also used to talk on the house fone alot my symtoms are

headach
sometyms feel sick
weird feeling in my eye and the skin below my eye brow is pushin down to my eye and i can feel it(thats the best i can desrib it)
and i feel kinda light headed alot

My doc says its because my levels are so low. Thyroid cancer runs in my family in the girls. My mom had it in her 20's and my sister was diagnosed last christmas (she was 20 years old), my aunt is getting her thyroid removed to prevent cancer. they haven't really had any issues with their weight, i had a baby 8 months ago and i still have about 10 pounds left to lose from that. So i was wondering if anybody else had this problem. It would be so awesome if someone could help me with this. I cant stand being this heavy. PLEASE HELP ME!!!
