DIAGNOSED STAGE THREE LUNG CANCER TRYING TO GET HELP TO MAKE DECISIONS WHAT TO DO

My dad 60 has just been daignosed with this cancer. He had the tumor removed on Monday and will start chemo and raidiation in about 3-4 weeks. He has to go to in-patient rehab, he has lost use of his right leg, and lacks balance and depth perception. He also has adult on-set diabetes which he has managed for 2 years by himself with diet and lifestyle changes. They say he will inevitebly die soon from this cancer and that he will not have pain many other people face when dealing with other cancers. My question is do you think that he, the doctors, or anyone will know when he is close to death or will he just all the sudden die at home without warning? He had siezures with this tumor those are under control now with meds. but I suppose they could come back with the regrowth of this tumor? I am concerned for my mom and my young brother (17).

My fiancee has brain cancer. Recently, within the past few weeks or so, he has developed what look like pimples or insect bites on his body. He has 2 on his leg and one on the left side of his face and we think another one is forming on his stomach. His oncologist has suggested that it might be boils, but she isn't sure. Within a few days, the bumps turn from looking like a small pimple to being 1.5" in diameter, then the hole in the middle scabs and then pus comes out of it. We have no idea what these bumps are and don't know if it's from the cancer or not. Please help!!!

She has not told me what the doctors have said about her chances. I think she is trying not to freak people out. But it seems to me if it's in her blood then she is not long for this world.
