I would be suspicous of anyone without legitimate credentials and who uses 'infomercials' to sell their product. They would hardly be an 'expert' on anything. He's a businessman first and will sell you what you want to hear.

Trudeau continues to advertise and take money from the unsuspecting public year after year. He comes up with dozens of ways to sell his numerous books on various topics. It's a gimic and sham.

Trudeau claims he "has been marketing since age 15, had made several million dollars before he was 18, and had started over 60 companies in over 60 countries with total worldwide sales of over $3 billion." Ever wonder how much he gives back to charity? None.

WOW, what a bunch of uninformed opinions! How can people feel so good about parroting the popular party line?

I believe in truth, where ever I find it. Trudeau's first book was right on the money, and a friend told me that his diet book is pretty much a summation of the items in his first book that relate to diet and weight loss.

Since I read the first book cover to cover with a critical eye, I would assume the weight loss book is just fine--and a lot better than things like the 'Scarsdale Diet' and other such politically correct tripe.

I've spent lots of money on gyms, books, home exercise equipment and diet foods, as have many other people. If weight loss were an issue for me now, I wouldn't hesitate to part with the cost of 2 lunches to hear what the man has to say.

Best of luck.

I found the book to be very informative and easy to read.

I've lost 17 pounds in 12 days, I'm just concerned that I'm losing too much weight, too quickly. I will admit I haven't followed the guide exactly. I'm not sticking perfectly to the listed foods and meal plans (but mostly) and doing very little exercise, but the weight keeps flying off.

It clearly works and if I'd followed it exactly I think it would scare the living daylights out of me because of the amount that I'd lose. So thanks again for the information. I've never purchased anything like this before because they are usually full of trash, but 3WD has been a pleasant surprise.

I haven't read the book, but this Salon.com article is pretty critical (http://dir.salon.com/story/books/feature/2005/07/29/trudeau/index.html):

"The book, which Trudeau self-published, is a paranoid mixture of self-evident and widely known health facts with very few, if any, natural cures. It is almost amusingly campy -- except that the information is so odd, and alarmist. "

I would be cautious of his claims. Evolution does not engineer individuals that live long, fulfilling, healthy lives. It engineers us to reproduce, and to ensure the success of our genes being propagated. Thus there is no species out there, either with a "natural" or "artificial" lifestyle, that can be free of disease and suffering.

You might want to check out Randolph Nesse's book, "Why We Get Sick" for more on this.

I've read his cure for cancer book. I'm afraid "garbage" is the politest word that comes to mind. I suspect the rest of his work is equally bad.
