A hemotologist told me once he had a guy in his office with swollen lymph nodes under his jaw. He had them surgically removed (it was necessary) and had them biopsied. The cause was perplexing to say the least until this man (a lawyer) admitted buying cocaine off the streets. It turned out the cocaine was cut with Talc (Talcum Powder), he would place it on his tongue/cheek. Talc is poisoning...not sure if it is still used in baby powder.
Cause cancer? Quite possibly.

there's been studies that say ovarian cancer is accociated with using talcum powder regularly, if it's not there can be a risk talc can cause fibrosis of fallopian tubes so females shouldn't use it, try vagisil powder or one with corn starch thats talc free, don't use douche or feminine sprays either
google women product health risks or something like that

As a healthcare provider I remember hearing this about 5 to 6 years ago.....it was linked with ovarian cancer. I have not heard anything recently. It was taken out of powder some time ago.
