I have known of a person who was diagnosed with stomach cancer and in 3 months he was dead. But I don't know whether he had gastric ulcer or not.But another person I know died of stomach cancer several years after he was operated on due to gastric ulcer. As H.pylori infection is a major causal factor for both, should an ulcer or an infection always precede cancer development?

sets of five chemo treatments and 30 radiation treatments. The lung tumors shrunk majorly. They sort of suspected from the beginning that it had spread to the brain and after my last scans, it was just confirmed that it did. I will begin 30 radiation treatments on the brain starting tomorrow. I have been feeling very strong, healthy and feel great. I walk everyday and have a great attitude. Is there anyone out there with the same experience that is doing well for any length of time. I know that miracles happen. I am hoping and praying for that!

Im not asking this question to be judged and critisized for going to tanning beds occaisionally. Im pretty fair skinned and get moles (i hate that term) easily from the sun. I hear the warnings everywhere, but if there is anyone who reads this and is somewhat a professional in these matters or knows what they are talking about .. (not a 'tanning technician' from places like fabutan) How dangerous is it for me to be doing this often if im careful and check for signs?

I smoked for 30 years but quit 5 years ago, and thought this scan was a good idea. Now, I'm scared and they told me it would be a good idea to wait three months and do a scan with dye and see if "the spot" is bigger. I don't feel good about this, I want to know much sooner what it is and what I can do about it. I realize one centimeter is not that big, but it's much bigger than I want in my lung. Thanks in advance....

hey guys, i got diagnosed with a non-life threatening form of skin cancer (bcc) a month ago but since then i've been back to the doctors and they say i have suspected melonoma on my back and i have to have two moles removed in a few days and tested.
i'm so scared as my other moles on my tummy are showing similar symptoms which means it would have spread.
has anyone else been in a similar situation? or has any advice please?

I live in OHIO...... is there any real true help out there for this?

I have already been though, physical therapy for this .....with no results. ( lymph=edema, massage..) Also Aqua therpay .....no results either.

They tell me... that there is legs pumps for this, I need it for both legs.
I was told that Medicare won't pay for them.
I am on, ss disablity.....
The only way they will pay......and its even hard to do that too. is
if I have nasty open sores on my legs first.

that does not make any sense to me.....
I am trying to prevent my legs to get into that condition.

Any suggestions let me know, please.
or whom to get ahold of..... so medicare will pay for them..

Thanks to all that answer me...... Carol in Ohio

A friend of mine, who is only 16, told me that she has an unusual bruise-looking mark on her right breast and one just like, only smaller on her left breast. She's really upset, and doesn't know what to think. Is this a sign of breast cancer, I don't know what to tell her?

My father has been diagnosed with prostate cancer. Because of his age, he is not a candidate for surgery. So his local Dr has started him on hormone therapy to decrease the levels of testosterone. He gave him a hormone shot to be repeated every 4 months, plus ordered a prescription which will costs over $500.00 per month. My father does not have prescription coverage with Medicare, only the VA covers medicine, but only if he sees a VA doctor, which is very far away. He, of course, is on a fixed income so he cannot afford $500 per month. We are making an appointment to go to the VA. In the meantime, does anyone know of any all natural supplement or treatment that can assist in the lowering of testosterone levels? Any information would be greatly appreciated.

If you put a body through near death to kill off it's cell, what is the likelihood that cancer cells would die 1st, or at least before the cells we absolutely need?
