Do Prostate/Colon Exams Hurt??

Question

And how far does the doctor insert the finger into the anus? and also does it hurt lots? Also does it catch all the cancers that way or no?

my boyfriend wants to know cause he is worried about getting it done.

The prostate exam won't hurt at all I have had them done no big deal. Colon exams are done with a colonoscpy those you are given something to put you to sleep and its easy too the only thing is drinking the stuff to wash you out. You don't say if he is getting that if he is just getting a Digital rectal exam that is nothing. Tell him to relax.
