Allergies

My fiance and I visit my father's house where a cat is present. During our visit the cat is locked in the basement but my fiance still receives reactions from the hair on the couches and carpet. Her symptoms are asmtha-like, making it difficult to breathe and to fall asleep later that night. We have tried Benadryl Allergy.

My doc just put me on Cymbalta (60mg) for depression/anxiety this week and after about 12 hours I started getting very flushed, red neck, red face, red arms, red chest, never really went away. Tried it another couple of days, felt like I was burning up, really hot, body temperature unbelievably high, called doc, on vacation for 3 weeks, talked to the girl in the office (a PA or admin asst maybe?) and she said that I should stop taking it. Doc is out of town, so he cannot write another script. Out of luck, do you think it is an allergic reaction? Mentally felt okay, a little panicky due to the redness, but other than that, felt really mellow.

what do you guys think? Anyone else had a similar experience on Cymbalta or any other med? thanks in advance for any help!!!

its been pestering me for long time, i cant drink cold,eat sweet and spicy food coz i know when ill do it,more my throat ache. Im having a hard time in swallowing,i know when i gargle salt w/ warm water it will east the pain, but how long ill do it? is too much gargle w/ salt w/ warm water at least 5x a day will coz my throat additional pain than in curing it?what it the best recomendation do you know?

my sister is 8 yrs old and has a bad case of the hives today. This morning before school they were mild but worsened to a severe case later in the day. Also she didn't do or eat any thing out of the ordinary but got this the first day of school too. is it stress or something more serious, and should she be treated? Also how long before they go away ?

Is it just a reaction to the inoculation, and will it go down soon, or should I be worried? It is difficult to see the doctor when they are so busy and I don't want to be making a fuss over nothing?

My sinuses hurt, I can't sleep, every time i sneeze it feels like my head is exploding. i've tried the new sudafed (without pseudoephedrine) and tylenol cold, but they didn't work.

I've tried taking claratin, & other random OTC drugs, but those furry buggers make my eyes watery & itchy and my nose stuffy & runny! The BF has one, so I'd like to be able to go to his place & at least be alert and not sickly-looking (& feeling!) the whole time...

I have had severe allergic reations now for years I have been tested with no results..I have had reactions to beef,pork,hamburger help (without the beef), chili mix,avacodo mix. The reactions occur right on the 6th hour after eating them (not an hour before and not an hour after. I have had at least 8 anaphixsis reactions requiring imedeate treatment.I alos carry an epi-pen. I have great knowledge on how to treat the reactions, but the cause is unknow..Its not everytime I eat beef or pork it only once in a while. I have quit beef all together but still have unknow reactions..any help?

I am 16, 5' 3" and weigh only 110 pounds. I have been skinny all my life and am sick of looking like I'm anorexic even though I'm not. I love to eat, but find it difficult to gain weight with my food allergies. I'm allergic to nuts, eggs, seafood, soy, and anything that has artificial flavoring. That doesn't leave me much choice to eat foods high in calories. I'm trying to gain 10 more pounds and have increased my calorie intake, but find myself feeling overstuffed and bloated. Do any of you have food allergies and tried to gain weight in the past? If so, what have you done to make this process of gaining weight easier?

For about 7 days now I have had (sorry to be graphic) but I have had extremely thick yellowish brown mucous coming out of my nose but I have to blow soooo hard to even get anything to come out, I dont feel sick i dont have a cold and never had one this just started with like a burning sinus and dry throat type feeling and now today everytime I blow my nose its bloody. But I thought I would be sick with a sinus infection, I feel perfect. besides feeling all this mucous stuck back there somewhere.

i ate some pineapple awhile ago & knew i was having a small allergic reaction, then a while later i had more (coupld days later) and the reaction is worse. my boyfriend told me that if i keep eating it, the reactions will get worse...is this true?

okay, my mom is allergic to cotton, and we live in Georgia, ha, irony,eh?
but anyhow, i heard of all ways to cure allergies and what not - boiling the same leave of the plant your allergic to. ive heard this done on many accounts - poison ivies, goldenrod, etc. and it seems to make sense, because whats a snake antivenom? so, the question im asking is, after googling it and not finding results, is it possible to make tea out of the leaves of cotton plants?
