Yep, sounds like it.
Unless you respond this way to anything else, in which case you would want to look for common ingredients, such as milk, caffeine, even sugar makes my daily allergies worse if I eat enough of it!
The more frequent your exposure is to something you are allergic to, the worse your reactions will get. Sometimes this progresses very rapidly, sometimes more slowly. That's why someone can get their first bee sting with a bad reaction, but then need to carry an epinephrine kit for future stings.
Your stress levels will also influence how bad an allergic reaction will be. Allergies of any kind are generally more pronounced under stress.
Also, if you have even one allergy to anything, you are more prone to other allergies.
I hope this helps, if you are allergic to chocolate, you have my deepest sympathies!

I suppose it is worse, but I knew relatives that had allergies back in the 60's. My cousin was allergic to mosquitos. Just one bite would make her vomit repeatedly. She went to an allergist and had treatment for her mosquito allergies. I was allergic to nearly all raw fruits and vegetables. Even getting the juice on my skin made me break out in a rash. My great-grandmother had hay fever. She was born in the 1800's. I also was allergic to the smell of skunk. It would burn like pepper spray and I would break out in hives. Severe allergies do seem to be on the rise. The only analyphalatic reactions I knew about back in the 60's was to bee stings. You never heard of anyone dieing from eating the wrong food.

I have the same problem, after I eat chocolate my eczema(sp?) flares. I've been this way since I was a child. You learn to get use to it. Just try taking an allergy pill once a day when you do have something you're allergic to the symptoms won't be as bad. Good luck.

Oh, it sounds like it. That must really suck! I would still try going to the doctor to get an allergy test done just to make sure, because there are a number of things it could be.

Yes, you may be allergic. Try carob instead. It tastes similar to chocolate.
