Yes, it most certainly could and most likely would continue to worsen each time. At some point, you could suffer an anaphylactic reaction where it would be life or death, and you would need immediate assistance to live. True food allergies, like drug allergies, are nothing to mess around with. The immune system has been sensitized and is on the alert against the food, and the more often you consume it, the more antibodies against it will be produced. The more antibodies there are against it, the quicker the reaction will be, and the more intense it will become. At this point you are having a mild reaction, but next time you may not be so lucky. There is no way to predict when it will finally be over the top, and no way to prevent it from happening except to avoid the food which triggers it. Pineapple isn't the only fruit on the block, so you won't be risking nutritional deprivation by eliminating it from your diet. Don't keep tempting the fates here, quit eating it and don't eat it again. Keep an eye out on things like tropical fruit mixes and canned fruits, as they often use pineapple juice in them. Even if the label says natural fruit juice pack, look at the list of contents to make sure pineapple juice isn't listed. If it is, you can't eat or drink it.

Yes. It happened to me with peanuts. It started as a small rash and then each time I ate them the reaction was worse. The final time I ate them I ended up with my throat swelled shut, being rushed to the ER. It was awful. I almost died in front of my kids. The doctors had a fit when they found out I knew I was alergic. I said, "The worst that ever happened was I got nasty hives for a couple days. I did not mind the hives." The doc informed me that when you have an alergy and continue to subject your body to the item, it will get a stronger defense everytime until you go into shock like I did.
Stop eating the pineapple!

most likely it will get worse. certain foods if not consumed for many years will lose their allergic reaction in your body.. others like pineapple could bring you into shock if you do eat it and get such a severe reaction. try to lay off the pineapple for a bit. see an allergist to identify exactly which foods and what not that you may be allergic to.

it really depends. I get my allergies worse every time I eat something I am allergic too, but my friend gets better, I really think that you should just be cautious and not eat things you are allergic too. You also might want to talk to an allergist, they can tell you exactly what you are allergic to and in some cases tell you how bad reactions will get before leveling out

Yes, this is true. The first time you eat something you are allergic to, there is usually no reaction, but your body will remember it! Each time you eat it after that, the reaction will get worse and worse. So here's my "expert" opion...don't eat pineapple!

it depends on who the person is. some people may have worst reactions such as break outs of hives and irritating rashes, swollen body parts(throat, face, eyes, etc.). others may just have a mild itching in their throat. i would suggest going to a doctor.

Yes, it could make you really sick if you're allergic to it. Check with your doctor, they have tests for allergies.
